Guerreros timing and reflexes are totally gone, but Ortiz will probably still end up finding a way to lose.

    Round 1 Guerrero 10-9

Ortiz rocked him badly early, but The Ghost came back to easily outwork him.

Decent 1st round, both engaging - Ortiz slightly crisper work. Should be good while it lasts, but might get turgid!

He seems like the type of guy who thinks the government can take care of the people. I would think he would be more left-leaning.

Guerrero almost got turned INTO a Ghost with that overhand in the clinch.

    Round 1

Ortíz is squatting in and throwing his right jab at the body, and Guerrero stretches out a wide vertical base, turning himself to face Ortíz side-on, before taking own turn doing the same. Ortíz is staying off the very end of Guerrero's head jabs and rolling up from a crouch with right hooks and lamp-lighting lefts. Guerrero pumping straight combos down at the head, but mostly hitting Ortíz in the nape, so, not legally scoring.

    10-9 Ortíz, ultra close, feel-out

If victor Ortiz wasn’t mentally handicapped he’d have been so good. So much talent wasted. He’s like the opposite of guerrero. No real natural talent but a ton of heart

He was at one point viewed as DLH's hand-picked successor...the golden boy of Golden Boy, if you will. God, did Oskie breathe a huge sigh of relief once Canelo fell in his lap. Not only more talented, but whatever his baggage, has never been the undisciplined mental midget Victor always was.

Blatant shoulder strike from Ortiz that round, dude is still an insanely dirty fighter.
