Collard is named after Cassius Clay (as in Muhammad Ali) and has been at the sport since he was 6. Cool that a guy like him, the sort of backbone-of-the-sport journeyman toiling in obscurity for peanuts, finally gets to nab a big splashy victory on national television (even as he has one foot out the door headed to PFL).

I would be thrilled if Vinnie Feygalabutts pulled the upset and KO'd Plant, I'd laugh my ass off, and I can't stand him either. What a gruesome twosome.

I never take anything a fighter has to say after they've been koed. AJ did the same vs Ruiz 1.

I actually looked up this Collard guy's record recently when I was researching Bektemir ''Bully'' Melikuziev's progress in the pros.

Collard is an MMA fighter but he's been thrown in deep as a pro right from the get-go with undefeated prospect after prospect and this isn't the first one he's upset. Bully is the only fighter to stop him. Bully is the truth :deal:

    Check Collard's record

The Atrisco Kid, being a moderately skilled but easily brawl-baited glass cannon is a perfect acid test for young prospects with question marks around their power.

Clay Collard is a pretty decently known MMA fighter. Not quite UFC caliber but that’s his sport.
