Anyone else going to it? been to a number of Goodwin shows in the past, I'm going to this one too, looking forward to it, any names lower down the pecking order who I should look out for? the main bout I'm there for is Conquest's fight, but should be a decent night throughout, and at £35 a ticket is decent value. http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=670526
Yeah, would have been good for Goodwin to have got a Boxnation slot, although according to Steve Goodwin's twitter, this show is being shown next Tuesday at 7:30pm on http://bayloricworldwide.com
looking at booking tickets to this now i've seen it, will get me and my mates in the mood for our venture up to manchester later this month
all booked up for three of us. Does anyone know about drinks prices/whether you can take beer into the hall from the bar?
There is a bar in there mate, works out around £4 a pint (poured from bottles into plastic cups or served in plastic bottles), generally they aren't very cold either, plus you can;t see the ring from the bar area as there is a big curtain blocking the view, you're not allowed to drink with a view of the ring. Plenty of boozers around the local area.
The match-up details are in here mate, I think a running order is being released this afternoon http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=670526
Okay mate cheers do you think it's worth getting in there for the first fight? Could end up being a dry night if the fights are good...it's a shame you can't drink in view of the ring though seems strange
I'll be there early, but not as early as the first fight, I reckon I'll be in there from 7:00pm (only earlier if my man Conquest is on earlier in the evening) if you do get there early, get yourself upstairs and alongside the ring, fantastic viewpoint. You'll be able to pop to the bar and get yourself a beer etc, just leave a jacket/bag or a mate behind at your seats!! I'm also going Manchester, who you heading up there with, you staying up there the Sat night? just me and my brother, 3pm train up and then a midnight coach back to London, not up there long at all.
Rakeem Ashaye v Jonny Greaves will be an interesting fight. He done alright as an amateur for Rosehill but i hope he has seriously changed his style before he turned pro. Dominic Akilade boxed Joe Joyce and Anthony Joshua as an amateur for Fitzroy Lodge but i wasnt impressed with his pro debut. Ive never seen Alan higgins box but i heard hes quite good and off the radar.
ah we were gonna get there for the first fight but may not now...is there any way of finding the running order? We're staying in Manchester yeah mate, well just outside but the b&b is 20 each a night with 5 of us going! Proper looking forward to that now and hope Saturday will get me in the mood even more!
