    Round 10

Kamegai is standing toe to toe with young Silva, trading shots, his just a bit shorter to get from point A to point B while Silva is loading up full force on his wide heatseekers that set his shaggy hair flying. Kamegai is able to control the middle of the ring, but taking plenty of punishment to do so. Almost as much as he's dishing out.

    10-9 Kamegai

    96-94 Kamegai

Both have bright futures. Commentators say they should take it easy on their next fight after this brutal bout.

That was one hell of a fight between two evenly matched guys. Very entertaining. Love those fights that could take place in a phone booth

Seems like there's another hot addition to 147 top dogs.

    Kamegai-Mike Jones anyone?

My attention was focused on other contests, but this is a fight I will definitely have to check out sooner rather than later.

Now THIS was a fight. I can't wait to see both guys again, GREAT stuff. I had Kamegai a very slight winner but a majority draw is fine by me.

  13. Kamegai's power is overrated. And his chin is questionable.

How can anyone think that Kamegai could compete at world class level?

Fan friendly, action fighter: yes. But not world class. Too slow.

Fair conclusions to draw after last night, but I'd temper them by pointing out that he's one hell of a TV-friendly fighter.

There is no reason to strictly look at the negative in light of that treat.
