If you watch the video, you'll see Floyd looks at Schaefer for the ok a couple times, then Schaefer nods his head each time, and then Floyd goes into his pre-scripted rant. The whole thing was planned, rehearsed, and totally phony.

Floyd couldn't hold back, he had been taking a lot from Merchant already. So Floyd exploded on him verbally, it's not like he hit him or even threaten to. I have no problem with what Floyd did, you try to handle things respectfully time after time but some people just don't get it, keep pushing buttons, and end up making you erupt.

 

All ages should be respected, but if someone's being a dick, I don't care how old they are, they need to be put in there place. They're old, not ******ed.

What does everyone mean taking a lot from merchant, im not mad about himbut he was right to question some stuff about certain guys, everyone else was and wanted him to he didn shirk his duty. I HATE Larry Merchant.

So poor at his job (in my era anyway).

His after fight interviews make me cringe. The questions he asks are awful!

I did find that incident quite funny even though it was very rude by Floyd, but to his defence it was an eruption over years of negative Merchant interviews. He obviously isnt a fan of Floyd style, but at the same time he should make the interviews unbiased.

IMO Floyd said what i have been thinking for years, but at the same time its not good to speak to old people like that.
