....who constantly take their boyfriends back after being cheated on. "Oh, well it will be different this time" :patsch :patsch :patsch

Any fire. Any motivation. Any drive for greatness. Any Heart. Anything worth a damn in this sport that Mike Tyson once had, we haven't seen it since well before he went to prison! If any one of you believe that "He's gonna give it one more good go at it....." horse****, you belong in a ****ing Mental Institution. Yes, I understand...you want "The Baddest Man On The Planet" Back, you want him to pull a "Rocky Balboa" and go the distance with Wlad, Avenge his loss to a mentally dead Holyfield, and so on and so on. Clue in kids, Anytime a former great athlete comes out of retirement strictly for money....YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE IT :deal

What makes these Athletes great is their will to win, their hunger and determination and their Heart. Tyson hasn't had any of that in a long ****ing time, and he doesn't have it now....so he hasn't been great in a long time, he hasn't even been "good" or anything better then pitiful actually.

Tyson is done, has been done and will NEVER be back :deal Hell, even the Tyson fresh out of jail sucked dick, because all he cared about was partying and being a "Bad Man".....but not training and actually attaining greatness.

I don't think it's about people believing the old Tyson will be back regaining his prime form.
People are real enough to know what the current situation and lookout is.

I think it's about people wanting to see a glimpse of the old Tyson.
Maybe for a short fight, maybe for a round, maybe for a split second. But just a glimpse of the old legendary Iron Mike would be exciting enough for them just for the sheer memories and nostalgic reasons alone.

Because in that brief moment,.....people will see more excitement and talent than the current hw division will ever be able to provide...for them. They will see a glimpse of that ultimate fighter of the 80's they grew up with...and flash back to their old memories reflected on todays world.

And then there is that fact that a Tyson fight has always been exciting (in almost each of his fight - even the ones he lost- the atmosphere was electric). You can't say that about a lot of hw fighters nowadays.

That's why i said in my previous post:
I would buy this fight PPV for the sheer nostalgic reasons alone!
This event of two alltime-greats fighting as a tribute to the 90's hw era could be worth it and would probably outsell any hw event that can currently be made or has been made too.

What's so great about the current hw era that makes me forget the 90's?

I'd say go for it for all those old 90's hw boxing fan.
But after that,...please do retire again.

Why do people feel the need to start a new topic everytime they want to say something? There have been four, not including this, Tyson threads started today already regarding this topic.

  8. Pretty much sums it up!
We got naive people on this board living in a dreamworld of fantasy, believing this Cokehead, can comeback :nut Tyson can win if he does this or that, or hires Whisky man Rooney, blah blah blah, this has been, short, almost 42 year old, ex con druggie, is 22 years past his prime, and hasn't fought since he was blown out by a Tomato can named Kevin Mcbride 3 long years ago.
People still believe it's 1986 again:huh Reagan is President, gas is 1.15 a Gallon, and Mullet's and Jeri Curls are in style:-(

I dont think anyone said Tyson was gonna come back and dominate the divsion like he did almost 20 years ago, all Tyson said was he wants another fight with Holyfield. Tyson just wants a paycheck, whats wrong with that? If he does beat Holyfield by knockout or something, who knows maybe he does become a player again in a struggling Heavyweight divsion, maybe he can bring back the average fan again.

Of course, boxing fans are gullible.

"Oh, Floyd is going to retire!"
    "Floyd is going to MMA"
"(Insert random fighter) will retire, he said he might retire soon!"
"Oscar won't fight Cotto because he said he wouldn't fight a Rican"
"Tyson's hungry now and gonna run it like it's 1988"
"Oscar De La Hoya only wears men's clothing"

Do you not think if that excitement is brought by two old men it might reflect badly on the sport at a time when it is enjoying something of a rejuvenation?

I'd be curious to see how he'd do...

    EDIT:

how long he would last. I still think Holy would beat him. Humiliate him.

But you have done, against Williams & McBride. Why do people need to keep seeing him get humiliated?
