I don't think so personally. It's a very difficult one to debate because of the ring smarts Joe has had to display more recently. He was all about speed, work-rate and stamina and had more power back then.

Lacy was just a match made in heaven for Joe, and his most important fight so he fought to a high level. However, I would say Calzaghe of 2000-2002 knocks him out in a similar scenario.

    why has Calzaghes power faded?

    1997 he floored Eubank

I remeber in 2001 he blasted out Mario Veit

I thought the last thing a fighter loses was his punch

Probably the well documented hand injures. He's had to fight with one hand on a few occasions which is hard work, so naturally he would be scared to commit to many shots.

He can't sit down on his punches as much due to his hands. Due to the injuries he has had to adapt.

we should have gone to the Steve Robinson fight

    only a 40 minute drive

    I remeber the night well

I got pissed and watched the fight down Gorseinon Rugby Club

I was in a room full of Welshmen cheering on a Welshman - while I must of been the only welshman in the place who was cheering on a Yorshire Arab Englishman:lol:

JC - Lacy fight is the one. The way JC schooled Lacy and turned him into a ***** for life was a joy to watch.

I'd probably choose Benn, I think. Perhaps not technically the highest quality but probable to give an exiting fight. He always tried to put on a show.

I've seen Lewis, Naz, Hatton so I guess the obvious missing one is Nigel Benn.

John H Stracey V Jose Napoles.

Stracey took the title off of a legend, albeit way past his best, in the mans own back yard, in front of a hostile crowd, with a gutsy and determined performance. A+
