You are invited to participate in the all southpaw heavyweight tournament. At this point in time I am not asking for picks. I'm looking for the best eight contestants. To qualify, the fighter doesn't have to be a true lefty, but must fight out of the southpaw stance.

Right now I'm looking for a field of 8 contestants.

The names I can think of are:

    C. Byrd
    S. Ibragimov
    M. Morrer
    J. Hipp
    C. Sanders
    R. Chagaev
    T. Thompson
    A. Harrison

If you want to add more names, I'll consider bumping out Harrison!

This smells suspiciously of a Klitschko building campaign, but I think I'll sit back and see where it goes..

This is already on its way to becoming the worst tournament in this forum's history.

I asked for names of quality southpaws. Anyone who was ranked will do. Do you have any Magoo? If so, please mention them without the scarcasim.

This is a majority vote to advance the winner. I am not picking the winner. You vote and my votes mean the same in proportion to the voters. The entire tourney will not take long to run. My initial goal is to get the best field of 8 possible.

Having said that, I'd like to strike Audley Harrison from the list and add Juan Carlos Gomez into the mix.

It could be interesting and competitive though.

So far, I like Moorer to beat them all.

Wow what a joke. This is a clear attempt to pump up the Klitschkos and modern super heavyweight southpaws LOL.

This is a horrible tournament...most of these men are not world class.

If you want me to throw a name in there? Melio Bettina

Other than Byrd and Moorer, they all suck.

Karl Mildenberger is right near the top of that rather poor list.

Hell Richard Dunn takes off Audley, Jack Bodell too.

I think Mildenberger is a fine addition.

Al all southpaw anything isn't going to feature the best contestants.

    Al Jones?

Can't think of too many southpaw heavyweights. There weren't many pre-1990's.

Please take some of these unrated lazy fat modern slobs off the list and add an intelligent world class IN SHAPE southpaw like Melio Bettina. I still think this tournmanent is going to turn into a klitschko farce, but i am willing to go along with it.

Didn't Fred Fulton sometimes fight southpaw?
