You are not p4p #1 if you get dropped and almost stopped by an Uber driver

This Inoue fan club cult needs to take a breath.

On Sunday supposed p4p #1 Inoue was dropped and almost stopped by a complete unknown who:

Didn't have a wikipedia page (Inoue's fans have since made him one)
Had never fought anyone of note
Had never exclusively trained as a fully pro fighter until last year

This fight is off the back of Inoue's second most recent fight against...some random South Korean. If you're going to run a bum of the month club, that's fine, but if one of these 100-1 underdogs almost takes you out, I don't want to hear about your greatness compared to true top p4p fighters. When Loma was high on the p4p list and got dropped by multi-weight champ LINARES, this forum exploded. I can't understand this weird culty silence about Inoue just not being that guy (p4p #1 billing).

Do you want a cake or something?

What do you want to achieve with this negative post?
Well then you will also get a negative response.

All you do is attack a fanbase without any reason, a failed ragebait to provoke inoue fans.
There is always that one person who has to be negative and cry about it.
Unfortunately that is you in this case.

if you don't like inoue you can just say so honestly instead of looking up nonsense. (wikipedia is that your source? lol)
I think you should take a breath.

    Case closed.

Usyk, Golovkin, Canelo, Beterbiev... These elite boxers were never knocked down in their careers.

Inoue doesn't belong in the elite league.

You are... if that Uber driver has been a pro boxer for 10 years, with one very questionable MD loss on your record when you're a 21 year old away fighter fighting in the super corrupt A-side loving country of Mexico, who also happens to have at least 6 years in the amateur ranks, even picking up a few titles along the way. Oh yeah... Sampson Lewkowicz is an excellent promoter, when he sees talent in someone, it's usually for good reason. So sure, ha ha, the fact that he drove an Uber to make money on the side is a funny angle detractors can exploit. But make no mistake, Cardenas has always been very serious about this sport and has been on the run of his life since his win over Banquez a few years back.

4 weight class dominance over 11 years as a champion, is undone by one flash knockdown to you? Despite him winning those fights by brutal TKO or KO?

You are the problem with boxing - you are the "cult" who thinks the only boxers who matter are undefeated, iron chinned gods with zero flaws. You'll be looking a long time if that's your standard for being elite.

You are the reason boxing fans get a bad rep!

Boxers on the come up may need other employment to support themselves; this isn't anything new, and nor is it a black mark on the boxer in question or their opponent. I don't care how you regard Inoue; but Cardenas was no joke, the fact the fight was competitive is not to the detriment of Inoue, and TBH if you are a true boxing fan you should appreciate the skill and heart both fighters demonstrated.

It's the nature of the game, even the all-time greats got dropped. The reality is that almost any fighter can knock down almost any other fighter if they hit them right. It's bound to happen sooner or later, the question is, do you get up and win?

No you dont understand! Hes blasted everybody out and dominated 4 weight classes for over 11 years! But... Get this... He got knocked down. That's right!! He didn't lose.. but he fell over! How can he possible be elite being knocked down? *grabs Dorito bag*.. Yeah. Wouldn't have happened to me.

OP also missing the fact that coming back from a loss, knockdown or adversity actually makes you greater, because you're clearly not just fighting people you can smash up, they're fighting back. Imagine being proud of never facing struggle, is that not a Pyrrhic victory?

Fury was dropped heavily and won a razor-thin decision over a cage fighter making his boxing debut. Does that mean Usyk's wins and P4P status are brought into disrepute? How about we focus on that Inoue decimated Fulton, a slick American who was meant to run rings around him, and Fulton has since won a world title again at featherweight. Ali got dropped by Cooper, so I guess he's overrated too?

Oscar got dropped by Giorgio Campanella and Narciso Valenzuela... Oscar was clearly a bum.

Marquez was dropped many times against inferior fighters... He was rubbish.

Trinidad was dropped countless times by non entities... Clearly another bum who shouldn't be in the HOF.

Pacquiao was stopped by Rústico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat he also dropped hard and almost stopped by a jab from Nedal Hussein... Don't know why people thinks he's an ATG.

    My oh my.

Interesting. Why do you think a lot of respected folks were heavily criticizing Cardenas as an opponent before the fight? Why do you think the odds were 100-1? I wonder how many other unproven diamond in the rough Cinderella's there are out there who are very serious about the sport.

If Usyk somehow got knocked down and almost stopped by Chazz Witherspoon, would he be given the same grace?
