Margarito hasn't beat anyone with clout on the welterweight level ... and the only reason why no one wanted to fight him is because they wouldn't get much TV exposure or a decent purse.

this would not be an all out war like some people think, cotto would box margo...perhaps this would be a bit like the mosley fight although wider margin than the mosley fight

I believe that Cotto will begin by using technical precision and boxing to breakdown Margarito. If it gets to the point where Margo gets hurt, he will brawl him and finish him. But I believe he wins by easy UD.

I'm guessing that Cotto will win easily ...

Margarito isn't accurate ... he's not a sharpe shooter ... he just throws punches and wings an uppercut from afar ...

Why is everyone forgetting about Cotto's uppercut w/ the left hand ... hell with both hands -

Yeah bro he's very good at walking forward and getting hit ...

He doesn't move his head ... all he does is have good endurance and throws alot of punches.

I can see Cotto pulling a Pavlik v Miranda type performance and back Margarito up since he's not good at fighting backwards.

All the advantages are in Cotto's favor and the direction of the fight depends on what Cotto chooses to do.

Margarito is going to show up the same way he always has and not change a thing.

Cotto will box a smart fight against Margo.. He'll be fighting off his backfoot with accurate counter-punches.. I do see him trading at times with Margo, but I don't see him getting seriously hurt..

So Margarito couldn't beat Judah, Torres, Sosa, Branco, Corley, Urkal, Gomez, Bailey, N,dou, Mosley is probably the only man he wouldn't stop but would beat Mosley at this stage of his career. He would destroy the rest to small, so you saying all these guys but the exception of Mosley is better than Clottey,Cintron,Santos, and Williams not even all these guys would dominate all these guys Cotto beat! Don't try to down play Margarito has fought these are way better.

Cotto's formal and informal plan: A combination of boxing and running.

The crowd, the fans, yes, and also Margarito tracking him down and trapping Cotto will force him to exchange. Cotto's plan will be to box but that will go out the window every time Margarito takes two steps forward.
