You can remove one thing + add one thing to boxing to improve it. What would they be?

make all World title fights 11 rounds to reduce the number of draws

Add the Super Heavy div with a 265 pound (120kg)+ cut off

make the Super heavies fight for 9 rounds with 90sec rounds. more explosive action

they wont get so puffed being 100-200 pounds overweight

it would be like Sumo Boxing

also the radical Amateur boxing changes are brilliant

eg no head gear, 10 point must system, getting paid money etc

rewarding not ignoring amateurs who score hooks, body shots and knockdowns

 

Remove current promoters( Arum and DLH 1st)
Winner gets the big purse.

 

no catchweights in title fights. There is no need for them in title fights where the fight is in a specific weight.

 

Remove promoters. Add global licensing/testing agency that sanctions all fights.

Remove closed scoring. Add all fights are 60/40 to the winner, 70/30 if a knock out.

Remove ability to choose opponents freely. Add stipulations that both fighters must be within 5 spots of each other in centralized rankings.

Remove options for World Champions to fight anyone except the Intercontinental Champion. Add tier system where World Champion is #1, Intercon is #2, Regional champions are next, National Champions are after that.

add boxing as a sport in schools where they compete against other schools starting in middle school, offer scholarships to kids to college while they box similar to a college in michigan i believe. promoters and managers will draft boxers out of college similar to nfl, nba. parents can see that if they don't make it in boxing they have education to fall back on, and might even see boxing as a way to higher education. the best college, and high school boxers go on to olympics

the league thing is hard because there's so many fighters from different parts of the world.

Remove he sanctioning bodies and replace them with ONE league. Removing the promoters doesn't do a thing. You need to go to the root of the problem, because the promoters are enabled BY the ABC's. Remove them, and the promoters can't buy off rankings or favors. They will simply disappear on their own due to a lack of influence and power, and also a lack of necessity. In a league run system, all the boxer will need is an agent and manager in place of a promoter. The boxing league promotes itself like any other professional league does, in order to survive and attract fans.
