he's fighting the best fighters out there and is doing his job in cleaning up the division, He's now fighting the best heavyweight since Lennox Lewis and it was his choice to call him out of retirement to set up a unification match with Wlad Klitschko, gotta respect that!

Vitali best heavyweight since lennox lewis? who did he ever beat to prove himself worthy of that slot? he lost to lightheavyweight chris bryd, the only other world class fighter he faced.

Definitely deserves respect, he's also going to Germany for this fight. Peter wants to bring the best fights out there and the division needs someone like him. He seriously plans to fight Wladimir in a rematch after this one or a possible showdown with David Haye sometime soon(possibly next year). There's nothing to hate about the man even though I see a lot of haters attacking him daily.

I'm a fan of both guys but must admit that it will be better for the division of Peter comes out victorious.

Peter already offered David Haye this fight and it was turned down apparently.

The Nigerian nightmare definitely deserves respect - he has taken a fight where he is the underdog and has to try and send Dr Ironfist back in to retirement.

Fighting the best out there? Who? Oleg Maskaev, Fat Ass James Toney, Basketballer Julius Long and Journeyman Robert Hawkins? PLEASEEEE! He hasn't cleaned up anything besides his plate at the nearest buffet.

Vitali is the best heavyweight since Lennox Lewis? Come on, I'm a big Vitali fan, but he's not the best heavyweight since Lennox. A strong argument could be made that Wladimir is....and he beat Peter quite convincingly a few years ago!

When did Peter ever call Vitali out of retirement? Wheres the source? Vitali originally announced his comeback and desire to be the appointed mandatory for Maskaev just after Peter/Toney I, I believe. It had little or nothing to do with Peter.

Another deluded Peter fan, oh well. The reality will come clear for you tommorrow I think.

Yeah, and Chris Byrd totally outclassed Vitali in that fight....can't you understand that it is possible in boxing to lose a fight without being the lesser fighter???? Besides, ATG's like Joe Louis and Ali sometimes struggled with or were even beaten by fighters who would be small cruiserweights/lightheavyweights by today's standards.

Corrie Sanders was much more dangerous than Byrd on a good day, certainly Byrd would not knock out Wlad if he tried 100 times.

While I don't hate Peter (or any fighter) I have every right to be critical of his attitude. Yes, he is a tough guy who doesn't duck anyone and comes to fight. But this may also have a lot to do with his pathetic tendency to overestimate himself. He lost to Wlad fair and square and claims he was robbed. He shows a lack of discipline in his lifestyle not befitting a professional athlete. He trash talks wihtout class and beleives God wants him to be champion...soryy, not a whole lot to like there in my opinion.

Since when is running and grabbing entire fight, while tasting canvas three times, considering beating someone convincingly?

He might have get the victory that night, but it wasn’t a convincing victory.
