Erm my point being Khan won every single round easily and McCloskey hardly landed a punch.

McCloskey is awkward with his style but got dominated regardless.

    :hi:

I think we have too face it like it is, no timmy, no khan, no marquez or anybody can get dangerous for either pac or may, except middleweights, but thats unfair, because martinez is way too big for both.

better fighters have looked worse against worse fighters. when khan has fought the best at 140 he's looked good. that's your barometer for bradley/Mayweather, not this meaningless fight

Khan still beats Bradley, can't see Bradley winning many rounds. If he wins its by KO, but if Maidana couldn't do it I doubt Tim can

Would like to see McCloskey thrown in with the likes of Devon Alexander, think people are underestimating him on here, thread starter must be blind he took some good clean shots from Khan and displayed a sturdy chin

Wasnt impressive at all though, he was winning rds but wasnt dominating them.

Anyone can see he was sloppy tonight, not as fast, punches not as crisp etc.

Anything cold have happened later in the right either for or against Khan or it might have just been as it was for another 6 rds but it wasnt convincing enough to have me thinking he would have strolled it.

Agree, that was fairly obvious even taking into account Khan's sloppy display.

You wont get some to agree though, have their eyes painted on i reckon

Lol....yes one punch from the MONSTER PUNCHER (11 Ko's to his name, what a beast!) that is McCloskey would have knocked Khan out with one punch....damn he was robbed of the oppertunity that happened to elude him for 6 rounds....

How can people say McCloskey was doing **** all? He was slipping everything and the gameplan was obviously to survive the first half of the fight and to come on stong later. It wasnt like he landed nothing, he landed some decent shots. The fight deserved to go on at least.

 What? The thread starter has a good point. Khan would look amateurish against Mayweather, and get taken apart while landing almost nothing.

Lol...that makes for a very **** fight....just running for the first six rounds...ok he was elusive....yes he was ducking amazingly well....but was he doing anything else? No, he landed all of a handful of shots.

But I agree that the fight should have gone on, would have been a 12 round shut out/stoppage for Khan.

Just finished watching the bout now. I thought Khan's performance was going to be really bad judging by the comments on here. But I thought he did what could against an awkward opponent.

The worrying thing about Khan's performance was that he showed no improvement whatsoever. Now, you can't expect a boxer to improve and perform his best every time out, especially against such an awkward opponent. But I predicted that Khan has a good shot against Bradley, as long as he keeps showing improvement. He hasn't shown that, in fact, he looked slower tonight...his footwork was horrible once again. The same problems as before.

I had a debate yesterday with someone about Khan. He stated that he believes Ortiz would knock out Khan, but Khan would beat Mayweather. There are levels in boxing, and I'm not even sure Khan will ever be ready for a Mayweather.
