You can't say the two Matchroom PPV's this year didn't deliver.

enjoyed both, can agree that they both need a greater main event, need world title fights that are very competitive and entertaining. This year they had a very entertaining competitive fight but was only for the British title and the other was a world title fight that was one sided and not great to watch. I think they have had the undercards spot on, just need to work on securing the big fights.

The reality is as much fun as they were, they simply weren't PPV cards. They should be the standard to which Eddie puts every xaed together.

Yeah. In fairness to Brook v Gavin, it was added at short notice, and I think Gavin was the strongest opponent available at that notice especially with no American TV backing. I think the original main event was going to be DeGale v Dirrell until Matchroom lost the purse bid.

Fair comment, but I would have thought afterwards that was money well spent, than if I'd spent it on the Mayweather-Pacquiao or Klitschko-Fury events.

They were basically the main event and chief supports for 2/3 regular sky cards

But the other side of that coin is that we are paying to see two ATG's fight in Manny & Floyd, and a top 10 ATG in Wlad and the No.1 challenger in Tyson.

Paying for two British level HW's fighting for a VACANT domestic title isn't right.

Entertainment only comes after the card has finished, as it's then you can rate/grade it.

What exactly was the "bait"? Two HW's who had an amateur fight 6 years ago in a leisure centre (which wasn't even good anyway) and are now sorting it out after 14 odd fights each as a pro?

Two old "ATG's" that should've fought years back. And one old "ATG". History has shown, that Mayweather and Klitschko, in particular, are often involved in uneventful and stinking fights. And that is all you are paying for, unless you really wanted to see Rod Stewart or Leo Santa Cruz v the bum of the month.

I'd much rather pay for 4 potentially competitive fights than one.

And as the saying goes, if you don't think it's right to pay for it, don't watch it. Everyone who complains on here seemed to have found some way of watching them live, so I don't see why they complain so much.

Thing is, by doing that you are lowering your standards to a level than is unacceptable to begin with.

The May-Pac fight was boring but it was the P4P number 1 vs arguably number 2. That type of fight is a P4P, regardless of the fact it was stinker.

Yeah, two old ATG's that MANY call the best ever. Besides, those two "oldies" are far ahead of their rivals.

Sounds like you should have paid for the Rod Stewart card, son, as you want entertainment.

I'd pay money to watch an old Floyd and Manny than fight each other than Joshua/Whyte... ANY DAY.

I didn't pay for it. I watched it on the tube the next day.

So you'd rather pay money watch Chris Eubank Jnr, Anthony Joshua and some other domestic level lads than Manny Pac, Wlad and Floyd?

Eddie's gonna love you next year, son!

I believed the cards for both shows (may 30th in particular) was very good on paper.

I'd gone past the point of caring about Mayweather & Pacquiao, and by purchasing that, aren't you also giving guys like, say Golovkin and Alvarez the green light to wait for years too? Ward, for example, came out with comments that there is no rush to fight Kovalev because Mayweather & Pacquiao still drew high ratings years after it was first in demand.

But look who these fights are between, you moron.

WORLD CLASS talents. Many of whom are either ATG's or future ATG's.

What has Whyte done as a pro to warrant him being a PPV attraction?

You make me laugh. You make a stand against paying for world class talent on PPV, but you'll happily shell out to watch Frankie Gavin vs Kell Brook on PPV.

I'd rather watch a fight between THE BEST, that's been ages in the making, than shyte like the afore-mentioned.

The PPV cards have turned out fun to watch and reasonably competitive. But I'm of the opinion they could have had any number of those fights headline a sky event I already pay for. Why not have Joshua Vs Whyte on a regular Saturday night show? It's a British title fight after all. Two weeks later have Eubank and Spike headline it.

Those are all good fights for a Saturday night headliner. Lumping them all together 4 times a year and adding a 20 quid price tag for the pleasure really galls me.
