Barrera was known to be a racist dude, calling Morales "Indio" and Feeling superior due to his lighter skin, there are many like him in Mexico, prejudice and ignorant:!:, and Barrera is an educated person so that was a surprise. Wouldn't expect that from Barrera.

 

That's rumor started by EM fans. The beef actually started on a soccer field. Erik was arrogant and felt that MAB was playing dirty and kicking during the match, and dared MAB to kick him again. Of course MAB ran right up and kicked him, and things went from a sporting rivalry to a real hatred. Marco made things worse with his words after their first fight, telling HBO that their champion (Erik) was 'no good!'

Mab has since gotten over it. Erik, not so much. Marco is pretty much a gentleman until his blood is up, then he gets kind of gritty with things. I sympathize, I'm the same way. It's not being evil, it's just a little out of control when things get heated.
