Even when Dirrell got the point take it away from him, did you notice he barely run the last 2 rounds?

I dont like Froch but crying to the ref & running for 12 ****ing rounds doesnt win a fight either......If Dirrells team had got their **** together he could have pissed it on points , bad as It was there to be won for him.........Saying that they might as well hand the whole thing to Kessler now.........!!!!!!

The last two rounds were a hell of a fight and I felt he got the better in the 11th. I felt he went to sleep a wee bit after the halfway point in the 12th though while Froch was still pressuring and I actually gave Froch that round ( so did Dirrell out of interest )

Had he fought more like he did in the 11th and 12th, we'd have a new WBC champ.

Yeah, the way Kessler boxes - is there anyone in this tournament who really has a chance?

Abraham for all the pomp about his defensive style, is going to find it hard when he's up against such a precise fighter with great stopping power and an ability to fire down the channel all night - I see him getting through that high guard and I also see Kessler being able to counter Abraham when he goes into attack mode, like Kessler did against Calzaghe.

Once again I'm the minority opinion but I thought the round by round was easy to score.....When dirrell kept distance, kept it in the center of the ring, and cirlced and moved he clearly won 5 rounds to me....when the fight got ugly, and half the fight is was ugly, the lack of the inside game for dirrell forch did enough sloppy sometimes semi-grazing shots to win 5 of those rounds, for me it was pretty easy to score with the exception of 12 which was the closes round to score...I gave it to froch...

But run, clinch, combination, doges etc is much better than: look -> throw -> hit air -> realise the guy isn't even in the place you swung that punch.......then later get stunned ->.....rabbit punch

the 12th was dirrelle still doing what he did from end of 10th onwards but Froch had more urgency in the closing so that could be why ppl see it as close but I gave it to dirrelle

Froch wanted to land a solid shot and get out of there quick. But you ain't hitting that which ain't there....dirrelle cheap edition of RJJ.....but I see some really good potential in the guy

I, with my best impartial hat on, scored it 7-5 for Dirrell, but I 100% agree with what you say and couldn't argue with Froch being given it. Both were dreadful on the night.

Froch came to fight and was always looking to fight. Great ring generalship is controlling the fight and using your defence to set up your offence. Dirrell wasn't doing anything when he moved out the way and the constant holding just looked like he was scared.

Must be a full moon because I'm going to agree. While I scored it clearly for Dirrell; I can also understand some people feeling frustrated over Dirrell's style. Weird that I chastise Floyd for this style and you always come to his rescue, but now you leave Dirrell out to dry a bit.

In any event, good post with several valid points.

It should have been a dirrell ud but 115-112 is a farce. Even with a kd dirrelll would still lose.

Wtf don't you give Dirrell some credit?

Dirrell is an immense natural talent and whatever Froch couldn't do was because of Dirrell! - Carl was Carl - nothing new there.

If hopkins would have hit calzaghe as much and as flush as dirrell hit froch then I would have scored it for hopkins. Niether was landing hardly anything in that so I had calzaghe's aggression winning. This was different because dirrell was snapping froch's head back on a regular basis with telling punches that didn't need a replay.

ANYBODY WHO THINKS FROCH WON ARE IMAGINING THAT FROCH LANDED THOSE AIRBALL FLURRIES. The truth is that he didn't and he didn't even touch dirrell's face 20 times in the whole fight. I challenge any froch fan to look at that fight again and do your own punch stat and see that froch didn't land ****.
