Man I keep losing money on fights not because these fighters don't have the skill its because they keep coming up with dumb game plans. Why are boxers like judah and Haye coming to their fights buff as hell but fighting backwards it just makes all you head movement and weight lifting pointless. Just image what Miles record would be if he fought these tall rangy fighters from the outside he would lost way more fights. I blame myself for thinking Judah was going to bring it to khan because that's not his style but Haye was dissapointing imaging if he had used Chrisora or whatever his names game plan he might of still lost but it would of been a hell of a match.

I won money betting on Ortiz because after watching the Peterson fight I realized the way to beat him is to come forward and pick him a part and even though I had Peterson losing he losing he won the last few rounds by coming forward and picking ortiz a part, and I new Berto at times in fights will fight going backwards and will get caught.

These guys because of their size in their current weight classes and physical gifts you're just not gonna have success fighting backward.

    What do ya think?

Peter came forward against Wlad, Maidana came forward against khan and Berto came forward as best he could against Ortiz. I don't think the mistakes are fighting backwards. Berto would never win against that version of Ortiz, he was WAY too motivated to take no for an answer that night. Haye couldn't get around Wlad's skill at managing distance without putting himself in a position to take some ko shots. Judah just didn't throw any punches, and remember he is Zab Judah.

Khan and Ortiz I think can be beat while moving backwards and countering, but not Wlad, he's too tall, his reach is huge and he utilizes his size and reach incredibly well. Khan would be difficult to move backwards and win against because of his speed and reach, but I think it can be done, Judah had him missing quite a bit, but just didn't have an answer. Ortiz I think can definitely be beat moving backwards and countering, I actually thing that would be the best way to beat him, if you have the tools to do so.

Wlad isn't as great as ppl say to be honest. today of course no one is going to beat Wlad. can't think of anyone at the moment, at all.

all time I guess I could think a few but that's not really fair to the Wlad

He's miles ahead of the (crappy) heavyweights today, but is he that great? As in one of the very elite hw's ever? He's too flawed imo. I just don't see it.

:rofl When Berto used his legs in 6th and was countering Ortiz he damn near stopped him, had he fought that way the whole fight he would've got an easy win, instead he tried to outbang him, lost his legs, stamina and his WBC title.

When guys like Briggs, Ibragimov, Maskiev, and Peter win world titles, you don't have to be great to dominate. Wlad is a very good fighter, but he is not up there with Joe Louis or Ali.

Sick and tired of people who really don't know boxing. You're one of them. And therefore, I'm sick of you.

being mesmerized by old boxers like Ali, Frazer, Foreman etc makes people forget just WHO their opposition was. If Wlad lost to Haye, then Knocked him out, and they kept trading wins/losses, people would say the division is stacked with talent. But Wlad is so much better than his opposition that suddenly the division is ****.

Get over it, division was always ****, there were always 2-3 stars, 5-10 quality almost-stars and a bunch of strong jorneymen. The only difference was, they were american.

Berto wasn't even fighting backwards. He just plain stayed on the ropes. He gassed out.

Fighting Khan backwards is not a good idea.. Malignaggi, McCloskey and Judah all found out. Slick boxers like them who fight with their guard down will have problems against someone as quick as Khan. Notice all the hard bombs landed on Judah's face.

But you can't just bring it and be on attack mode agaisnt fighters like Khan. You'll get torched. Ex: Margarito and Hatton brought it to Pac.

Well at least they FOUGHT backwards. Not like Mosley who just ran backwards against Pacquiao.

If Berto had fought going backwards instead of going to war against Ortiz he would've beat him easy.

    It's just not his M.O.

As for Khan for sure the right way to beat him is to cut the ring on him and get him against the ropes. Have him waste a lot of energy on defensive movement.

Boxing Wlad is also not a good idea.

BS, old timers who never that good at their best have had success, guys like Sanders, Maskiev and Briggs have all had success. Evander Holyfield used to get embarrassed when he fought a decent HW, against Valuev and Ibrigamov he held his own.
