real reason cotto loss, was because he was all over the place trying to counter every single margo punch.never in the center of the ring, just punching and moving.the longer that went on the more his legs were leaving him, the more he was slower, the easier he was to hit, his power punches were weaker, margo hands hurt even more.

he just wore his self out, cotto is a good enough boxer to out box margo plaster or no plaster.

to me is was the plaster and cotto's game plan.

You know, you're absolutely correct. Cotto had shown he could be badly hurt by lesser fighters.....yet he took Margarito's shots rather well.

I believe if you would have asked people beforehand that Cotto would get hit as much as he did against Margarito, they would have said he'd have been stopped much sooner.......
.....so I think that lends credence to the idea that Margarito's gloves were not loaded vs Cotto.

 

his punches would've had less effect and Cotto, like Mosley, could've sat down on his punches without fear of being hurt, would've taken less painful shots and lasted the distance, possibly winning on PTS.

That's what people are forgetting. He took Margo's punches rather well. He's been outright dazed by other fighters. That's what I don't get about people just plain assuming Margo used loaded gloves in that fight. No one knows. No one.
