You do all realise Haye wouldn't get paid a penny if he faced Wladdy?

I don't think the injury is the issue here though. I might be a bit sceptical if Haye was definetly injured, and they were saying '3 weeks', but I honestly believe this is more about the fate of Setanta than anything else, and 3 weeks is enough time for them to either resolve their situation and keep broadcasting, or for Haye to secure deal with someone else...and therefore get paid.

I think it's got more to do with Haye wanting to take on the biggest challenges out there. I know Haye is a new name over there in the States but the guy doesn't have a padded record- he became an undisputed champ in a shade over 20 fights. How many other fighters can claim that? Wlad was a ***** during negatiations and Haye gave him all the advantages- just look at what situations Haye would have been contractually bound to had he won!

This guy is clowning with us. In Vitali's case it was confirmed he needed urgent surgery and he says it was a hangnail. In Haye's case they can't find a definition for what happened to his back as it's not strained, not pulled, not hemoraged, not broken, but it's meerly SORE and this guy is backing Haye all the way. Go figure.

it's just funny cause vitali pulled out of his title fights like 10 times. haye pulls out once cause he isn't getting paid and everyone's all over him.

There are probably breach of contract implications. You can't sign a contract that says you'll fight on a given day then say "I don't like the way the contract worked out" and walk away.

What is this "3 week" delay bull****?Since I have yet to hear from a Dr.'s report this is so,is it not possible that a "back injury" could also take over 3 MONTHS to heal properly?
Haye is ****ed and so is his quest for a heavyweight title fight that he didn't deserve anyway.
As for his business smarts to sign such a contract he is in dire need of an employee with a higher IQ than his waist line.:deal

Would you put a lean on your house and car, based on the fact that you might get payed for three months of work, when most people were saying you only had a 25% chance of actually getting payed at some point?

If I was having doubts about Haye's injury, I've lost all whatsoever.
Only a serious injury is reason enough to cancel a fight of this caliber.
You can't heal a serious back injury in three weeks.
So it's just a "sore back" - whatever that means - but sorry, sore backs, bruised cheeks and broken fingernails shouldn't even be considered. These guys are boxers for ****'s sake!
Conclusion: Haye had no legitimate reason to pull out of the fight. Notice how there's still no medical report out, not one doctor has come out to say anything concrete.

Haye had the option of petitioning for a mandatory fight against the likes of Arreola, Dimitrenko, Chambers, Toney, as he is high ranked by the ABCs and then going after Wlad as a mandatory, with no rematch obligations and the possibility of scoring big at the purse bid. K2 bid over 11 million for Wlad vs Povetkin, which represents fine money for the mandatory.

Nevertheless he opted to go straight for Wlad with 3 fixed rematches, meaning that he is probably not losing that much money as is being said here, otherwise it would make no sense at all.

Do you also brand yourself an idiot for the childlike name calling on your profile?

No idea if this Chef person actually is Wlad's nutritionist, but to comment on contracts makes me laugh, does the meter maid also know the finer details of the contract as well as the cleaners?
