You dont have to move up in weight to be great,just fight top comp

Beating pirog,sturm,golovkin along those 4/5 guys would certainly help and be great fights to see.
Im actually more interested in seeing him fight those fights than pac/may at 150.

 

Trying to think of guys who moved up and went after the legitamate champion in the highter weight class...

Hopkins fought Robert Allen 3 times, Carl Daniels, Morrade Hakar...what the ****? The middleweight division has been horrendous since the 80s.

Pac, went up to face Barrera, went up to face Morales, went up to face Hatton.
Martinez went up to face Pavlik.
Calderon went up to face Cazares.

Yet you've got people swinging off his nuts proclaiming him the best, because he's handed losses to guys after they've already been recently beat by the top dog of the division.

Let's see him go in against a Victor Ortiz type character - preferably before Floyd beats him.

To be fair to pacquiao he has cleaned out the 147 division (other than Floyd) and beat the considered best at 140, ortiz has yet to prove himself as top boy in either division, one win over Berto at WW does not make him a sought after challenge at WW

And you mean marquez at 130, a razor close fight that could have gone either way, paper belt at 135 vs diaz, the man at 140 in hatton, proven at 147, I dont count the 154 title so thats it.
In the end from 106-150 winning 7 belts/4 lineal is pretty sick.
I hope floyd fight happens next, otherwise im done with that subject.
