    Maybe not the best display of skill, but I thoroughly enjoyed Whyte vs Chisora, particularly the 1st one

    So, so many great choices. But Matthew Saad Muhammad is the uncrowned King of this thread

    Without a doubt Hagler - Hearns . Those 3 rounds generated more excitement than any 12 or 15 round fight

    ?

    I don't know what would be on my list...But I'd certainly rather watch Taylor vs Serrano II than 90% of Floyd's fights again.

    Why can't you accept the fact that you were wrong, and that Women's boxing can be entertaining?

    Oh? Given your authoritative statement that Taylor-Serrano would fit snugly inside the upper half of the greatest fights you've ever viewed, I would've expected you to have more of an idea.

    By my math, that means you'd rather watch Taylor-Serrano than forty-five of Mayweather's bouts.

    I'd be curious to know which five Mayweather bouts (the remaining 10%) can compare to the epic, amazing, epoch-defining Taylor-Serrano clash in your estimation?

    These are all entertaining, competitive bouts involving Mayweather;

    Mayweather-Burton
    Mayweather-Chávez (Jesús)
    Mayweather-Castillo I
    Mayweather-Corley
    Mayweather-Judah
    Mayweather-Hatton
    Mayweather-Cotto
    Mayweather-Maidana I

    So that's 16% of his body of work right there. Your math is already failing to add up, by my estimation.

    Then there are the competitive bouts that, while not thrillers, made for compelling technical/strategic contests;

    Mayweather-Castillo II
    Mayweather-De La Hoya
    Mayweather-Pacquiao
    Mayweather-Álvarez

    That's a further 8%.

    Then there are the straight-up clinics, beatdowns and demolitions;

    Mayweather-Hernández (Genaro)
    Mayweather-Manfredy
    Mayweather-Juuko
    Mayweather-Corrales
    Mayweather-Hernández (Carlos)
    Mayweather-Ndou
    Mayweather-Bruseles
    Mayweather-Gatti
    Mayweather-Mitchell
    Mayweather-Márquez
    Mayweather-Mosley
    Mayweather-Ortiz

    There's a further 24%.

    I deliberately didn't include anything predating his first title bout, in addition to leaving off some of his more routine defences.

    So, that's at least 48% of Mayweather's career I'd sooner watch than Taylor-Serrano. At least. Ergo, your math is horse hockey, by my lights. Horse hockey, I say.

    Everything there bears revisiting much more than your 'pioneering' girly bout from a couple nights back. For a real boxing man, that is. Yes, to any genuine aficionado of the sport, even a relatively recondite defence against Carlos Hernández retains far greater fascination than Taylor-Serrano ever could;

    "Who wants to go get whipped? And if you do want to go get whipped, aren't you really being entertained?"

    Anything is entertaining to someone, somewhere.
