lets not forget cotto was one round away from finishing..

if he can win the first 7 rounds in the next fight similar to how he did the first 6 this last time.... and finished without going down, then he can win.

realistically speaking though i will be watching, rooting for him but thinking deep down he gets stopped again..

Win or lose Cotto has earned admiration and it will never end just like that.

I think cotto will lose again by way of tko. as long as Margarito doesnt attempt to avenge his loss i would imagine this fight would happen. wait it still would happen because no one cares about all the losses margarito has. so he'll avoid PW and fight a fighter he already beat instead of the one that beat him. Thats the stuff champs are made of.

I'm an enormous fan of Margarito's, long evangalising about his merits while he operated away from the spotlight. However, I saw enough in the Cotto v Margarito clash to believe Miguel could still overcome the obvious physical advantages Margarito enjoys.

Cotto boxed beautifully for 4-5 rounds and I believe he is capable of employing similar tactics over a longer peroid. I concur with the sentiment that Margarito will begin favourite but subject to the odss available I wouldn't rule out a win for Cotto and would wager to that effect in the event of a rematch.

If Cotto opts to return against Margarito next or following a 10 round confidence builder, then you would have to salute his fortitude. He could easily make money fighting away from the Tornado and wait for Margarito to fade before seeking the return.

No he won't....Miguel Cotto is a great fighter and true warrior so don't pass him off like hes some sort of Jeff Lacy hypejob....If Miguel changes his tactics and gamplan he can certainly beat Margarito....Its a good fight, and will be better than the first....you sound like a simplemided dumbass "He's gonna get beat even worse if he fights Tony again though." Get the **** outa here with that bull****

That WON'T happen. I don't believe there is a welterweight out there right now who can actually back Margo up. Not even Williams could.
And aiming to the body won't do him any good, that way he will leave himself more open for Margo's shots.
Now, to stay off the ropes makes sense, and I think he also has to try to stay in the center of the ring, duck punches, counter, and ****ing clinch more. And he has to have better conditioning, cause if he starts to fade after 7-8 rounds again, he loses. I don't really see any other way he can beat Margo.

What do you mean "it was stupid"?
Someone takes a rematch after a bad loss and we call him stupid.
Someone doesn't take a rematch after a loss and we call him a coward.
I'd call the way Cintron fought in the rematch stupid, but the decision to get in the ring with the only man that broke him down and KO'd him gets my respect.

I thought Margo clearly won the 2nd and the 6th rounds.

I admired him when he signed the contract to fight Margarito the first time. If he did it again, wow he has a lot of balls.
