10 miles could be a little high for boxers. but 10 miles could be just right for a world class elite boxer like pacquiao. it translates to about 16 kms which i think pacquiao could do in 70 minutes or less.

if you are a running addict and that is what you do for living like pac who needs it for training, 10 miles is just ordinary.

btw, in my current unfit form, i can do 15kms (almost a 10 miler) in 85mins i think.

70 miles a week is actually average mileage for a serious runner. Many runners average 100 or more routinely. That kind of training probably isn't ideal for boxing, but it certainly isn't unusual at all.

I know over 50's who can run marathons so this doesn't seem unbelievable.

You do know the world record for most sit ups in an hour is 2,200?

I do 5 km (3.10mi) a day in less than 30 minutes. an athlete can do 16km (10mi) in less than 60 minutes.

I tried one of Pac's uphill route here in Baguio City, Philippines, which was just IMO less than 10 km, and it almost killed me.

Have you ever done any exercise?

I am beyond amused that you think running ten miles a day is some superhuman feat.

    ****ing hell lol

setting world records have sets of rules i think which will require you to lay flat on your back and then crunch. pac could be doing a quick non-record setting sit-ups where he would not lay flat on his back and would just count the crunches.

The world record for the 10 mile run is over 45 minutes.

I dont know why people on here take whatever Pac or any of his team says, no matter how ridiculous it is they will find some way, some how to defend it at all costs...

Im with the thread starter on this one, no way he's doing 10 miles every day in addition to 2,000 sit ups, and hours of his boxing workout. No way. If, and this is a big if, he is doing that its counter productive and i am pretty sure he would do way better to cut the distance way down or do shorter sprint type workouts.

I've run two marathons and numerous halfs and 10ks. I have a full time job, would describe myself as a hobbyist runner and I can run 10 miles 4 times a week, easily. As others have said a professional athlete will have no problem with this.

Those are full crunches, 2000 sit ups done by pac are a variety some are definitely easier than basic full crunches.

I was wrong with my assumption. apologies.:D Should be less than 60 minutes.

Pac's routine was to run in the morning, then go back to his room. He'll be back at the gym at around 2pm, gym work (mitts, spar).

i mean that is hard to believe, thats 74.43 situps a minute, which is 1.25 situps a second, every second for 30 hours straight... assuming he didnt take a break at all.

i found something on the net saying the record was 2,200 in an hour so which is real, the other guy would have been doing 4,400 an hour for 30 hours straight...
