Dude you have got to be kidding Winky is a lovely guy and a good fighter but so overrated it's scary , how come when he was campaigning away at light middle no one gave a f**k about him but because he beat a way past it , way out of his weight (and lets be honest) hugely predictable Tito he is now an ATG.

The way to beat Winky ( as vargas showed ) is to overrun him and who else would be better at that than Calzaghe , He probably wouldnt hurt Winky but he wins every round

 

I dont like Joe and never will.But he beats Winky handily.He punches harder than Winky, will be able to absorb ALL his shots, and is faster than him.Winkys D may be tight but he wont be busy enough at the higher weight to keep up with Joe.Joe scores a possible late TKO or cruises to a UD.

 

...and if some b grade LMW guy like vargas gave winky trouble imagine what a 168lb elite like calzaghe would do, think about it.

 

I am a strong advocate for Winky and critic of Calzaghes resume actually. You don't have to convince me. I still have winky above Joe on my P4P list.....because, well, that's how I roll :yep

Joe is just very big and strong, and fast and awkward. He might just be too much for Winky. Winky should go back to 154lbs and get his belt back. Maybe beat Forrest or Spinks. Possibly goat Floyd or Oscar into a farewell after he regainst a title. Like I said, Joe's activity and angles might give him fits.

I agree it weas close but yeah i do go for Vargas , Winky ( can in my humble opinion ) be made to shut up shop by throwing loads of punches and thats Calzaghes style. I think Winky has a nightmare againt Calz.

 

So what if he lost to Bernard at 170lbs???? atsch Think objectively, this is a P4P LIST!! P4P, meaning if all weight was equal......he fought another P4Per 16lbs above his natural weight! Would Floyd be penalized for losing to Pavlik at 160 on the P4P list???? Yeah he would.....but SHOULD HE BE? NO! What about Pac, if he lost to Cotto at 147lbs? Should he be dropped in the P4P rankings? NO, he shouldn't be! If Cotto lost to Calzaghe, should he be dropped from the the P4P rankings? NO he shouldn't be. Winky dominated 154lbs. He moved up and beat the hell out of the Middleweight Champ Taylor, I don't give a **** what the scorecards say, then fought a very tough fight with the current Lt Heavyweight Champ. True, and when B-Hop did come in and flurry it seemed that he overwhelmed Winky. He might have better timing and patience then Cal, but it showed that Calzaghe could have some success by doing the same.
