Hopkins two fights at LH while comendable are hardly likely to strike panic into anyones heart.

B-Hop is a very good ( possibly great ) fighter but at this age especially it would be a tough fight for him. At SMW or above Winky wouldnt know what to do with Calz.

 

Honestly, Tarver has been badly underrated due to his personality and the Hopkins fight. He is a good win and a damn tough fighter. Be objective.

Dude I am honestly !! Tarver was good but at the time Hopkins beat him , he was barely the third best LHW out there.

The media in the states has built B-Hop up to the level of a Monson or Hagler and therefor by association anyone who hangs with him at all is also elevated to ATG status. Hopkins reigned over possibly the weakest MW division in history and he still managed to fight a pile of **** 9 times out of 10. I like Bernard but he is not as good as some would have you believe.

Yeah, but he was established at MW and destroyed Joppy....a very legit MW title holder. But yeah, Jr Middle was definitely where Tito should've stayed, I agree there.

 

Tito has killer power ( as far as welter and possible LM anyway ) but he was a one trick pony also go back and look at the Hopkins Tito fight , look at the difference in Muscle , tito looks 3 divisions smaller !

my point was, trini and lacy were meant to bash up hops and joe, but both of them ended up on the end of a brutal schooling, thus raising the stock of the victors massively.

 

my quote stands. of course it'll be a very tough fight for hopkins (as it will be for joe c) and i'd slightly favor calzaghe, but to say calzaghe wipes the floor with hopkins is simply a ridiculous statement. as for tarver and ww, tarver had serious pop and was recognized undisputed lhw champ, and ww--although best at lmw-- is still a pfp master whom has a 5'11 frame (and thus should be able to fight a lot higher).
