the fact that winky had to eat his way up to the 170 catchweight means that he shouldn't be going anywhere over 160. WW is quite simply a very poor fighter at LHW, no matter how much P4P spin you put on it.

 

"very poor fighter" at lhw -- give me a break. wright didn't look that bad, he was in decent shape just not top shape with just a little extra fat there. no one's saying that ww was the best smw/lhw when hopkins beat him, but ww was no manfredo at that weight...

 

he looked pretty bad, he was knocking back them krispy kremes in training as the HBO preview showed. but why are you comparing WW to manfredo? it's the same as me comparing eubank to robert ****ing allen. it's a stupid comparison aimed to belittle the other guys resume.

Joe and Bernard are a level above Winky , Tarver , Joppy and Tito

Are Joe and Bernard hall of famers , definetley are they both in the top 5 of their divisions for all time ? Joe easily , Bernard probably ( MW being a much much deeper division )

Joe and Bernard is a good fight ( although at his age I think Joe is too busy for Bhop but thats just my opinion )

However Both guys beat pretty much anyone at SMW - LH ( although I tell you what I saw Pascal at last the other night and in a year or so that dude could be bad news for both of them ! )

 

Exactly, I'd actually pick that 170lb Wright to beat Lacy, Manfredo, Bika and pretty much anyone else Cal fought prior to Kessler. Maybe even Kessler :deal

winky doesn't have the legs to keep away from lacy at 170lb, and he won't be able to do what joe did to him on the inside using reflexes and flurrys to keep him honest. lacy catches up with winky in the end. kessler mashes winky, bika's a tricky one because he's such a nasty, rough *******. winky schools peter.

Yeah i've seen hime fight and i've seen him get out worked in the past and Joe would easily do it again, this fight would be quite pointless.

 

you're the guy who made the "stupid" observation that ww was a "very poor fighter" at the hopkins fight weight. i wasn't comparing ww to manfredo, just naming someone who's not a "top" fighter at that weight whom you calzaghe fans would know of. that said, i was wrong to imply that manfredo was a "very poor fighter" at the respective weight, he just wasn't very good

 

but he did. he gassed around midway and had nothing to give in the second half of the fight and no answer to an old mans **** tactics, he looked awful. it was a horrible fight, thank **** i didn't have to pay for it over here.
