Did what he needed to do, put on a ****ing clinic against Rhodes, and even stopped him. The way people were talking before the fight, it was a pick'em and many had Alvarez losing. Give Opie his due!!

The only people who said it was a pick em were deluded Brits. Take nothing away from Canelo though, he put in a very good performance. Much more composed than he was against Matt Hatton. Rhodes was very poor to be fair.

Chavez Jr fought the tougher opposition, he gets shitted on more than Canelo does. It's alright.

alvarez could have put together combos and ended it so much sooner rhodes didnt wanna be there

he could land at will and had the far superior handspeed and rhodes was there to be hit

im not trying to be too critical but i think alvarez could have used a little more killer instinct

it was good experience for Alvarez to learn to pace himself. I actually thought his combination work was pretty damn good -- great angles and variety.

alvarez took care of business dominating and stopping the guy, deserves credit, he did what he had to do means a solid win.

It's like when people watch the Little League World Series and complain about the pitching technique. :patsch

I dunno if it was a true pick 'em but I feel where you're coming from.

Dude this is ESB, you know how ****ers act here. Where everything anyone ever does is hated on some how.

Well CANELO is the LMW champion of the world... and is a bad mother****er...

It's cool how even though RHODES being a top 10 LMW he was so unfavored that is what happens when you fight someone like CANELO.:good EVEN the UK's know CANELO is the real deal.

id love a bundrage unification k9 can fight and would at least go on his shield trying to win
