    This Junior Witter hype train was going too far ... there was alot of Ricky Hatton bashing and until he loses at that weight I will always consider him the man. There's no reason for the champion of the division to duck anyone, how did he become the champion? ... by fighting and dethroning a champion.

    Ricky Hatton beat the long reigning champion at 140 and hasn't lost in the division since then. He challenged the best fighter in the world and lost 1 fight ... the only blemish on his record.

    This Junior Witter guy never fought anyone and when him calling out Hatton was just a ploy to make more money.

    Hatton is the best of the division and his reign will last ...

    There isn't anyone out there at that division right now that can take him out.

    We shall see ... this guy won a WW title ... no matter what you guy think of his two WW performances ... he still won a title.

    I know what i'm talking about when it comes to this sport ... i'm not limited to Floyd and when I speak ... I speak what I know ... i'm not bias ... i'm not making **** up ... and i'm not blinded by favoritism.

    What do you guys think?

    so outside of Hatton, who at 140 has the best record and the best wins?

    There is no question Hatton has avoided Witter for years. Maybe now Ricky will have the stones to fight him. :think

    How is that? ... Hatton's star status far past Witter's once he made his debut in the US.

    He reached an all-time high bringing 10k British fans to Connecticut to watch him fight Collazo.

    Or when he sold out 3 arenas when he fought Urango, Mayweather, and Castillo.

    His level of competition was far superior to Witter's, who's most notable fight to date was a loss to Zab Judah ... he then fought for a vacant belt against a scrub in Vivian Harris.

    Hatton fought more champions, had more championship fights, and had the luxury of beating a reigning champion.

    He also went 10 rounds with the best fighter in the world and arguable the best fighter of his generation ... Witter couldn't generate enough success to gain a fight w/ Mayweather.

    Witter fought for the belt that Floyd vacated ...

    Everyone on Witter's resume gets beat badly by Hatton ...

    Malignaggi ... Torres ... Arnaoutis ... Holt ... Pac? ... along with a list of others who are just as or more talented than Witter --

    When you're the champion like Hatton ... there's no way you're ducking anyone ... everyone's gunning for you and fighting for a chance to face you.

    i've you believe they're all better than Witter and with better records then fair enough, I disagree.

    what is not up for dispute is that Hatton has avoided Witter for almost a decade.

    He can't beat Holt or Torres or Malignaggi can beat Witter ...

    How has Hatton ducked him ... when he's the fighter with more success?

    Witter proved himself last night why he doesnt belong in a ring with Hatton.

    Hatton is an A LEVEL champion, not quite elite like Mayweather and Cotto.

    Witter is a B LEVEL fighter at best.

    Witter had to do it the hard way due to him being an insomniacs dream and bad management:D

    Well he all the fight between the two is going to do is further create criticism on Witter and more discredit on the part of Hatton.

    Hatton will beat him and possibly knock him out ... he doesn't deserve a shot at Hatton ...

    Witter has to get in line and earn his way up to Hatton ... every time he loses then he's going to have go back to the end of the line.

    Hatton has reigned since 05 ... he's not going to lose any time soon !!

    fitzgerald - you shout about how we all need to listen to you but it's clear you know nothing about the history between the 2 fighters :lol:

    kcb - yeah Witter never had any business in the ring with Ricky, but Maussa, Urango, Collazo, Stewart, Smith, Vilches, Pedersen, Oliveira etc etc did. And that's only going back 5 years and Witter was calling him out longer than that.
    so how can you say that with a straight face??
    Witter's record is pretty decent. He looks on the slide now, infact he did a while ago before the Harris fight made everyone revise that view.

    It's not guaranteed that Hatton will beat Witter. Bradley beat Witter with a good jab and straight right hands and Hatton is more of a round puncher who doesn't use a jab. Hatton's style plays right into Witter's counter punching style. That's why Witter has been calling him out all this time.

    Too many people, who dont know ****, were calling for the Hatton Witter fight and saying that Hatton was scared of him when anybody can see that the statement is ludicrous !!

    What had Witter done to deserve this ??

    As far as I can see the only people who can be excused for coming out with these statements are the football fans who follow boxing and dont know that there are fighters outside of Britain - and the Hattonhaters.

    But unfortunately there were a lot of sensible posters saying the same thing !!

    bradley exposed witter&proved what ive said about witter for years was true,hatton would've ripped junior up last night.

    The trouble with junior is that he started to believe all his own Bull**** talk abut Hatton...and as Bradley said he forgot he was fighting him and was under prepared for the fight because his focus was on Ricky...But I laughed my bollocks off when he got put on his arse and hope this has finally put the prospect of them fighting to bed ,because its hard work listening to juniors fans spouting on about how good he is....this has proved he aint that good.
