People gonna be like wtf after wilder schools povetkin setting up the perfect shot, ala ciniman laid on king khan, just not gonna take wilder nearly as long. People don't really realize this is as bad or a worse mismatch than canelo khan...bombs away, povetkin will try getting up the first time from a glancing shot.. ref will give him 15/20,****ing count. Jusg prolongs the inevitable. DW will have the biggest "name" on his resume and then all the sudden he is way better now or endless excuses, ala pac crying even tho his trainer (the LAST trainer to ever admit any of his fighters lost a decision) flat out fmj too great and won too easily
This is definitely Wilder's toughest test. If he wins he establishes himself as a legitimate champion at heavyweight. Even if he loses he can bounce back. One loss doesn't ruin a fighter. Here's to Wilder winning his toughest test!
this is like really Wilders 1st defence. The last 3 were hand picked fringe contenders at best. Povetkin is a legitimate worthy opponent. If he gets past him in style the I fully accept Wilder. I'm already a fan, just one that has good reason to carry a lot of doubt with Wilder - his technique sometimes looks amateurish and sloppy and err wild! His power is without question, even if he's KO'ing mostly bums or at best his fringe contenders that he's fought recently. Get past Povetkin in style and i'll accept him as a legit worthy champion. For now the jury's still out deliberating.......
Why are Wilder's fans acting like picking Povetkin to win is somehow inconceivable? As if Wilder is this ATG heavyweight and Povetkin is just some random bum? Anyone explain that to me. And afterwards they'll be saying how great a win it was too does he manage to win.
