Pacquiao. He is essentially has all the offensive tools necessary to counter Floyds defense. Combined with his difficult style, southpaw stance, and speed that is at least equal or greater than that of Floyd, I believe he will beat him. Roach has proven himself impeccable at finding small details that can be exploited in a fighters game. With Manny he has a truly ATG fighter than can carry out his instructions.

It will take someone of an equally great mind to beat Pacquaio. Floyd may have the pure skills, but I dont believe he or Roger is the tactician that Roach is. Floyd Jr knows how to use a strategy and can adjust within a fight, and obviously he is unbeaten.

Roach though is a master tactician in addition to being a strategist. He will develop multiple attacks and techniques that Pac can use. If one doesnt work in the fight, he can switch to another. Pacquiao will be versed in all of them come fight night. Their wont be anything Mayweather can do that will truly surprise him.

Look at how fast Manny disposed of Hatton. Floyd it took ten rounds before he laid him out. He adjusted in-fight, found the opening for the check hook.

Roach on the other hand, he knew from studying tape that Hatton was ripe to be caught with the right hook off the left jab. And pacquiao put himself into a perfect position to deliver it. Roach knew the fight was never going to be competitive.

Thats a tactician. One small detail that Roach saw, yet it changed the entire outcome of the fight.

Also to mention that Manny is fighting for an entire country of tens of millions of people. He cant lose. Having a nation behind you is far greater than fighting for your own personal glory, ala Floyd Jr.

  2. Since when is Pac a defensive expert? Never. He always gets hit a lot. Look at how many times JMM hit him. And Morales. Pac is a face-first fighter and that's the only way he knows how to fight.

I still find this analogy a little insulting to be honest. When will people actually realise that Floyd does not go in full steam ahead for the KO?

Pac is a KO artist, he is ultra aggressive and ALWAYS looks for a KO. Hatton was far more suited to Pac that he was for Floyd. Combine that with the fact that Hatton's defence was the worst I have ever seen it, literally begging to be KO'd with his ****ing chin in the air. He gave far more opportunities to Pac than he did to Floyd, and all in the space of 2 rounds.

Incorrect. Many people suggest the same thing about Mayweather, but even when he was dropped as a young amateur, Floyd had the sense of mind to stay down and compose himself, making the most of the count before coming back and winning. Before questioning Floyd's survival instinct, you need to do a lot more than just scratch the surface. You can even look to his first fight with Castillo, the guy was injured and he still hung in there when many others would have crumbled.

As the old saying goes, "greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people he didn't exist". Floyd has more strings to his bow than most of us will ever realise.

Faster, yes, stronger, no way in hell is he stronger than Miguel Cotto. IMO, cotto is the strongest puncher in the WW division as of date. The fact that Manny walked through Cotto's jabs and punches leads me to believe that Floyd's only chance of winning this is by UD.

  13. Didn't take PAC long to negate the jab tho.

Miguel was firing that thing like a ramrod piston in the first round and driving PAC back noticeably.

By round 3 Cotto was on his ass.
