You're nuts. Ward might not stop GGG but he damn sure would give him a boxing lesson. He would dictate the distance and beat him at all ranges. Ward is too smart for GGG and is much better than anyone he's ever thought about facing. I mean you're talking about the most complete fighter in the sport outside of PBF he would tool GGG the judges and the location would be a non factor in this mismatch.

 

Ward would be the huge favorite right now. But that is no reason to talk GGG down. He has some exceptional traits and I am sure that he will be the guy to beat at MW after Sergio is gone (Sergio won't fight GGG, too much risk, not enough money, can't blame him).

Right now Ward has much more experience on the top level and he is physically much stronger. I doubt that he would knock GGG out though. Golovkin showed good punch resistance so far, and Ward is hardly known as KO artist, my guess would be Ward UD right now.

This is flat out incorrect. Edison Miranda KO'd Dawson during training camp. Miranda's trainer tweeted or posted a FB status that Dawson got stopped in training and that Ward would stop him prior to the fight. The prediction was 100% accurate.

Ward beats GGG but probably an ugly UD, maybe late stoppage. I'd wager on the UD though
