I didnt see last night's fight, but damn, you have all decided to forget about Cintron because of one fight. and worse than that, it's a fight he won by TKO in which he, apparently, landed bombs that would have fell a horse, against a guy that wouldnt go down, and that he broke his hand in. Damn, some harsh critics on here.

I'll admit, some people got big on him just because of the matthysse fight, but Ive been following him since early on in his career. Not every fight can end like the matthysse fight. Everyone needs to settle down and realize that he is still a relatively young fighter, experience wise, and that he is a champion (i know he won a vacant title, but that wasnt his choice, it's just how it happened) and has defended the title twice.

To look at this fight with Feliciano and make a judgement upon his upcoming fight with Pwil would be as amiss as to look at the Matthysse fight and make a judgement upon the Pwil fight. Different fighters, different styles.

I caught some clips of it. Feliciano spent a lot of time pressing Cintron like right off his chest where Cintron couldn't hurt him. Very rarely from the clips I saw was Feliciano on the outside.

He did the same thing to Delvin Rodriguez and won that fight by KO. It's damn hard for a tall guy to deal with that. Having longer arms your punches have like no leverage at all inside. That's why Feliciano was taking those punches. Soon as he got caught on the end of a combination he was KO'd. Just happened to be the 11th.

I had a feeling this would happen. Let them go I say. It's gonna be funny when Cintron catches Williams flush and drops him.

nah it wasn't that he couldn't dominate him it was that he made a very subpar fighter look very very decent. It was that it looked like all you have to do to do a good fighter like Williams,Margo,or Cotto let alone Mayweather all they would have to do is crowd him because his in-fighting is not good at all.

Now with that said it may have been his gameplanning and work before the fight because manny even sounded a little shocked and confused but Cintron needs a lot of work as of right now. Right now i would have to go Floyd,Cotto,Williams then Margo because all of them would have beat the brakes off the fighter last night...Cintron looked tired and confused with a fighter 15-5-3.....a top fighter must dominate these fighters. He hurt his stock period.

Paull Williams is going to abuse Cintron. If Feliciana can push Cintron around, and he is 3 inches shorter, what the hell do you think Paul Williams will do??

Stand at a distance and catch power punches on the end. Basically the only thing he does now.

Keep in mind Feliciano is smaller than Cintron. That strategy works. Williams is 6'2. He's not gonna be able to do that, and moreso, will not be inclined to do that. He'll do just like he always does, which is come out throwing 100 punches a round trying to land anything he can and utilizing his sheer size advantage.

Truth be told, Mark Suarez is another big guy who could be a middleweight. He fights very much like Williams, putting on pressure but having a stationary head. Cintron lit his ass up. You better believe unless Williams gets low and small, like Margarito did, he will get lit up too.

man everytime you post you show your emotional bias. basically you're saying that the only way cintron will win is if he "catches williams flush and drops him"....power can only take you a certain way and i've seen williams accept some bombs.

we all now by now that cintron cannot deal with pressure. he likes his space and needs his respect. williams is a god damn work horse how do you favor cintron in this respect?

these relatively unkown fights (underground) are ****in great though because the best boxers fight in these circumstances. this is gonna be williams margo II..

True. He has been hit with some big punches. But none of the guys he has been hit by hit as hard as Cintron. Sheer fact of the matter.

That pressure applied to him last night is just something that is hard to cope with no matter what you do. Feliciano was small enough to get inside on Cintron's chest and make every punch he threw easy to absorb. It was reminicent of what Hatton did to Tszyu. Good thing for Cintron that Feliciano can't bang.

Where Williams will come in is with distance, range. He won't burrow onto Cintron's chest to smother his power. He didn't try and smother Margarito's power either, he just took it. And Margarito, throwing half as many of his usual punches, had Williams in some trouble late. I have no doubts that Cintron's superior power is going to show up in this fight.

The best fights have always been the ones just outside of the spotlight. Cannot agree more. I've been saying for awhile now that these guys are the true welterweight appeal.

Most are being too harsh on Cintron. I caught the fight today, & it was obvious that he underestimted his opponent. He put too much effort into blasting his opponent out early, got tired & then the fight became very tough for him. In fact it was funny how it became a war:lol:

& the broken hand? That was even funnier! You seen the delight on his face when he won, & then you could almost see him think "Im going to pretend I hurt my hand!" before he pulled his pained facial expression:D

maybe this fight will do more good for him than harm, if he learns that he cant just go gung-ho even against 'lesser' opponents, cos theres always the danger you will punch yourself out & be beaten by your own over eagerness to impress. But if he doesnt? well, lets hope he does learn from his mistakes.

had no chance and it turned out to be true.. You're an idiot for even making that statement.. Either that or you didnt even see the fight because he had your man Cintron backing up the whole fight with little slaps. Demetrius Hopkins knocked him out in 4 rounds and that was at 140 so there is no damn excuse for him to even last as long as he did with Cintron. Oh wait yes there is.. Cintron has no heart!

It doesn't feel great but it certainly is no justification for rolling around the floor acting like your hand was just blown off by shrapnel either.......
