You have and will never see Floyd fight an ATG in their prime. So what has he proved?

it is common knowledge. I watched an HBO special on Manny the other day and the judge admitted to making a scoring error.

    1) Floyd has a solid chin as he showed against one of the hardest punchers in the welterweight division. Mosley hit him flush on the chin in Rd 2 and what happened?

Floyd kept coming forward and throwing punches. The rest of the fight he attacted Shane instead of running.

    2) FLoyd has fought ATG: Oscar De La Hoya (age 34 while FMJ was 30). At that point Oscar was at the back end of his prime and coming off a spectacular 6th round ko of Ricardo Mayorga.

Shane Mosley (age 38 while FMJ was 33). Mosley was coming off his complete destruction of lineal welterweight champion Antonio Maragarito.

IN BOTH CASES: Floyd chased these fighters when both were in their primes. With Oscar, Floyd had to wait in line for his chance to fight the cash cow. With Mosley, FLoyd had been chasing after him like 10 years ago, but Shane wasn't interested until he started losing and Floyd became the bigger draw.

    ATG Beaten by Floyd:

    De La Hoya (34)...Mayweather 30
    Mosley (38)... Mayweather 33
    Marquez (35)....Mayweather 33
    Hatton (31)...Mayweather 30

Floyd's record doesn't match Pac's, that's true, but Castillo, Corrales and Hernandez are no joke. Floyd was the **** at lightweight.

Doesn't change the fact that he doesn't want any part of Pac right NOW.

He proved he can make a **** ton of money while not endangering his health.

And that he doesn't deserve to be in the top 50 p4p atg's.

Mosley was ancient, DLH was half shot, JMM is tiny and Hatton is **** on the bottom of Diego Corrale's shoes. You're defending him wrong.

Let's clear up the Mosley business right now. Shane said in an interview when he was 135 and Floyd was at 130, Shane asked him if he wanted to come up to 135 and fight him. Floyd was already into 20 pro fights but didn't want any of Shane at 135 yet.

Mosley fought Vernon and Winky twice. Shane wasn't ducking anybody.

    :good

I see a guy who has some talent, is well marketed, and who was knocked out twice in 3 rounds. He's fought past it guys making a name for himself, and he's fought one armed Arum fighters after Floyd along with a catch weight fight. Until Pac beats Floyd, he gets some props from me, but not like the props I give Floyd...

First if by solid you mean just good then I agree. If think it's granite then I disagree. If Mosley moved away a bit or followed up his punch Mayweather would have been on the canvas of course he'll be able to get back up.

Oscar - back his prime. It's debatable.

You forget that Mosley started training earlier than Mayweather for his fight against Berto.

Again you saw a smaller man fighting Cotto who beat Mosley. You see Manny spaghetti legged in any rounds since stepping up? You see him having anyone but himself fight at weights never fought at compared to Floyd in a bs tuneup match against JMM ? You see the improvement in offense and defense with Manny and his relentless style and blinding speed and you just see a fading Mayweather who definitely lost a step and has no power.

I understand your pain for years you joined the PBF club and now you find out it was a Ponzi Scheme. Floyd never wanted to fight anyone dangerous. Floyd will never fight Manny. He is the best at what he does - outboxing disadvantaged boxers and fighting either one dimensional fighters or boxers over 35 who will come of 2 year layoffs or step up to a weight they never fought. Sorry.
