Your contract states you have to improve James Degales image in 2012 and you will be paid very well if you succeed.

    Whats your plan?

Pay Lennox Lewis a tidy sum to slap him about and tell him to accept reality.

Buy him out of his contract with FW. Stop him from talking, fighting or being involved in the sport. He would immediately become more popular.

He's a lost cause. His public behaviour is who he is. Never buy into the "playing the bad guy" act. When people say it sells, it rarely does. It certainly hasn't worked for ****y.

DeGale gets a lot of hate but considering how awful his punching technique is how did he win an olympic gold medal, become British & then European champ so quickly?

All JimmyMac seems to do is pat him on the head & blow smoke up his arse whilst James has glaring fundamental errors & terrible form. He should stop switch-hitting so much, stay southpaw & get tougher sparring.

He has to be made into the underdog.

You don’t have to be much good to win Olympic Gold now. DeGale’s pot-shotting, slappy style works in the amateurs where you can land one clean shot then run.

He won the British because Paul Smith is an average fighter who does all the things that DeGale can deal with. Groves didn’t do what ****y needs his opponents to do to be successful, so he lost.

He got the European belt in a very close fight. And the Pole (a complete non-puncher) nearly decked him before DeGale ground out a completely unimpressive win. This against a guy that perennial no-hoper Curtis Stevens stopped.

He’s not good at all. He gets hate because he’s an arrogant, spiteful, bitter **** who isn’t especially good as a fighter and is even less good as a human being. Facts are facts.

I’ll wait now for someone to tell me they met him out one night that he’s a “top fella”.

No shoe shining entrances, no looking to the heavens celebrations and absolute no use of your voice box to ensure absolute no sound exits your mouth.

Seriously though, DeGale will do ok. If he cuts out the antics and keeps fighting the best and fighting hard then he'll do just fine. However some will like the antics and some will hate it.

    These.

Us Brits don't like cocky winners. We like valiant losers. Also, James is a bellend and that is not an endearing feature.

    Seriously...

I would take him around hospitals and old people's homes. Get him involved with some charities. Have him do sponsored events.

Then I would arrange interviews with firstly his local press, then Boxing News and the nationals etc to speak about his work for good causes.

I would also have him doing interviews with as many boxing websites as possible as they are run by hardcore fans and many promoters fail to realise the good effects that has on someone's reputation.

I'd get him on the forums so he can interact with fans closely.

Tell him to look at things positively and even build up a few cyber friendships (remember, your Facebook friends and twitter followers are your customers and should be treated well).

****ing hell, I should work in PR.
