1 same day weigh ins within 12 hours of the fight 2 1 or even 2 sanctioning bodies would help 3 15 round title fights 4 get rid of the extra weight classes 5 cut way back on ppv...it is killing boxing here in the U.S.
You want them to have less weight classes, but only give them 12 hours to regain what they lost during training camp. Thats a harsh combination.
1. I wish had a thousand more wishes... Kidding, but seriously, 1. one title per division in all divisions 2. no catch weight bouts for any title 3. mandatory title defenses vs. highest ranked fighter in each division
i wish: boxing nationalism would go away boxing was back on mainstream tv jim lampley and max kellerman get hit by a bus
1. Go back to the eight original weight classes 2. One title per division 3. Investigations into bad scorecards. If a judge performs poorly, he doesn't get to score another high profile fight until he/she proves himself competant. If they are investigated on a certain number of occasions, they lose their job.
A lot of boxing's problems (ducking, titles at catchweights, dodgy promoters etc) would be solved with just one wish: 1. One neutral promotional/governing body to regulate everything! Judges, rankings, matchmaking, testing procedures, titles etc, absolutely nothing will go by without their go-ahead. But since I've got 2 more, I'll have: 2. More innovative ideas (like the Super Six) 3. A re-evaluation of the 10 point scoring system.
1. An international governing body that oversees the sport. Gives championships (One World Champion Per weight class.). Sets the rules. The rules should be the same everywhere. Lincenes and suspends boxers, trainers and promoters. A suspended boxer should not be able to shop around to find a commission that will licence him when another commission has suspended him. 2. Boxing on free TV. Not just the big fights. Show the up and comers as well. So by the time the reach the big time we have a better chance of knowing who they are. Also cover major Amateur events. 3. Boxing as a high school and college sport. No NCAA sport is going to challenge football and basketball. However at some schools you can build a fallowing. Colleges should be able to recruit the best amateur boxers out of high school. The NCAA boxing championship should rate up there with major amateur tittle.
1. Temination of the judges/refs responsible for robberies 2. 1 belt .. (no corruption fighters who deserve title shots gets them) 3. is my fantasy but is a wish that would be granted right? Have the top 4 or 6 fighters of every division of every decade in their respective primes fight each other tourney style ... after every fight, the winner recovers completely so he can be ready for his next fight .. which is the next day =) ... 1 weightclass @ a time ... from lightest to heaviest ... may the best man win and we would really know who the best fighter really was ... well per weightclass atleast
1. Genie, please imbue Floyd Mayweather with the courage to sign the fight with Manny Pacquiao. 2. Bring back 15 rounders. 3. Reform the scoring system. The 10 point must system sucks anus.
1. allow you to grab the opponent 2. allow you to trip your opponent (but not a direct kick) 3. allow you to **** on your opponent when they are down
