i think anyone with such major flaws as experts here think like pac and hatton would get underrated. Pac if not for his fans here would be underrated.. Hatton is good and i'm a fan, even with his drinking habits he's still on top
Great logic dip**** How many other fighters can be at a distance and not get a boxing lesson from Mayweather?
Former Hatton hater. The man hugs. But turned around cause he takes the challenges. He those have some cool fights when he don't try to grab. Hatton best thing to come out of Europe.
He is top 10 British all time P4P easily The holding thing is overrated - Lazcano and Mayweather both did more holding than he did (Mayweather especially). There was hardly any in the Castillo fight, whilst the Urango fight was an absolute stinker - yet he schooled a guy who is now being hugged at present! There wasn't much in the Collazo fight, except the 12th - in the rest of the fight Collazo was doing most of the holding because the pace was too much for him at times.
:good The Only fight I have really seen him clinch was urango, but maussa and Koysta their was limited holding.
Why doesn't he get nearly enough credit? He won The Ring Fighter Of The Year for 2005, has been ranked top 10 P4P for the past couple of years and has only just dropped out as he has only fought 1 journeyman in the past year, other than a KO loss. Yeah, he won the fight with the journeyman (OK, journeyman is a bit harsh, he was a decent opponent for his 1st fight back) and yeah, he was KO'd by 1 of the best fighters in the world at a weight that his body couldn't adapt to, but I'm sure if he beats Malignaggi convincingly he'll bounce back into that top 10. 55,000 fans seemed to still be giving him all the credit in the world v Lazcano, and I haven't heard him being exactly savaged by any critics. I think he is being given exactly the credit he is due: he is the top man at 140 just now, and in/around top 10 P4P, but not quite a fighter of the quality of say a Pacquiao or a Marquez or a Cotto.
As i said, it took the best fighter in the world P4P to beat the guy, but after his last fight everyone seems to think he is done and dusted :huh Losing to the best in the world and giving a good effort, no shame in that to my way of thinking Sage
hahaha.... yo before floyd beat hatton... hatton was on some peoples top 10 p4p then as soon as he lost he dropped off the list
sorry Beeston but that is total nonsense. That is what you call overrating somebody BADLY. I'd love to see who you leave out the 10 to get Hatton in there.
