You know what, who care about Ward...

    Now this is gonna go down like a cup of cold sick with a lot of you. But, honestly Europe is where its at for SMW division so if Ward wants to sit over the pond claiming the throne facing stop gap Mexicans while the higher calibre fights happen here and Germany, so be it.

    All you hear in the run up to this fight is "the winner could go to the States and fight Ward". NO, why should they go to the states and fight on a show where even the home fighter is getting a raw deal when they can fight high calibre opponents here for equal or better money.

    Ward has the talent, no question. But he doesnt have the fan base, the good promotion or the hype behind him that most of the European SMWs do.

    Don't think you'll get massive dissent on this board (British boxing!). Ward is good but balls to him with this level of activity. He's also massively overrated regardless of how good he is. Is Dawson (let alone a weight drained Dawson) elite? Froch's style is tailor made for Ward and Kessler was a good win.

    Who else has he beat? Abraham at 168? Bika, Green or Miranda?

    He's a very good looking super middle who we should be talking about whether he can push on to P4P level but to put him up there now? Get out of my office!

    Your talking **** mate Ward is way above anything in Europe, you hear those comments because Ward is far superior than anyone and he's the biggest draw

    would he have sold out 80k at Wembley? nah he cant even sell out Oakland. the daft twat wants it all on his own terms and he is messing his own career up because of it.
    no doubt he's the best super middle weight. but that's besides the point.

    Load of rubbish, Froch and Groves can sell out what they want the reality is neither are close to Andre Ward.

    he is clearly the main draw. but being a stubborn ***** doesn't help his cause. he'd school anyone anywhere in the division so why deprive himself of decent pay days?

    Ward is clearly not the main draw. He does not command the TV stats or the money that Froch / Groves / Abraham / Kessler do.

    Ward is clearly the best fighter in the division.......

    Ward is the best fighter at SMW but saying "he is the draw" is pretty stupid. There is a reason he fights in small arenas. Coz he cant fill big stadiums. Froch, Groves, Kessler and Abraham may not be as good but they have plenty of fans. Unlike SOG.

    Is there a more arrogant moniker than, "Son of God"?

    I think he is an incredible fighter, top 3 P4P for me, but he's a hard man to like. Oozes bitterness.

    Superb fighter however he cannot sell out his home fights, isnt a great talker and his fights dont generate interest outside of hardcore boxing fans.
