It's not that he just won or pulled out a close one, it's the way he completely outclasses and dominates the guys he was supposed to have no chance against. I mean it was a washout for all of his fights with Tito, Tarver, and now Pavlik. Hopkins was a 4/1 or 3/1 underdog in these fights. Most media members gave Hopkins no chance. I think peopel sometimes overlook this fact.
I think their fans are so shocked at the way Hopkins dominated their fighter that they have to come up with something.
Too green? He beat Jermain Taylor...no excuses man I dont think there is an exxcuse for getting dominated 12 rounds.
People forget after Hopkins dominates these people how seriously he was the underdog. Before the fight the question was largely not whether Pavlik would win, but whether he could knock Hopkins out. After the fight people point to anything they can to discount the win, disregarding the general consensus before the fight. I made good money off of Hopkins' wins over Tarver, Wright, and Pavlik. Each time he was the underdog.
