    it is interesting with those old magazines how they would love certain prospects. and ignore others. and largely ignore fighters outside of the united states.

    I agree with most of what you say - except the part with top-boxers today having only a couple of fights a year!

    Can we really blame boxers if they can make millions from a 30-fight career? Seen from their point of view, isn't that better than going through a long, demanding career fighting 100+ times for peanuts? Better financially AND health-wise.

    The magazine s disappearing is sad. Used to like going to the local newsagents, picking up two or three mags and having a chill out read.
    I only see Ring mag and boxing monthly now.

    Arguello is possible my ATF fighter. I looked forward to walking to the store to pick through which mag I would buy starting in about 1979. I still have the premiere issue of KO. I used to love there color posters!
