You know what's the saddest part about Floyd Mayweather's career?

He was an easy opponent that night. He was easy for Floyd. All he had to do was get Oscar tired, and thats exactly what happened. Oscar got tired and Floyd was fresh. 9-3, but 8-4 is acceptable. Oscar was an easy opponent that night, just like he was easy against Hopkins.

 

This is where your definition of easy differs to mine.
An example of an easy fight would be Floyd Vs Gatti or Cotto vs Gomez. Those are 'easy' fights, when the opponent gets completely dominated.

 

Floyd vs Gatti was Floyd vs a punching bag. LoL. That was practice.
But compared to other fights he's had, that was one of the easier fights.

Ricky Hatton - TKO10. Easy fight than De La Hoya given the result and total domination

Carlos Baldomir - Total Domination

Zab Judah - Maybe a slightely easier fight than De La Hoya

Sharmba Mitchell - TKO 6

Arturo Gatti - As discussed earlier

Henry Bruseles - TKO 8

DeMarcus Corley - Total Domination

Phillip N'dou - TKO 7

Victorianoo Sosa - Total Domination

Jose Luis Castillo - Difficult fight

Going by that it appears that De La Hoya was more of his more difficult opponents over the past several years. So when i compare this fight with the others mentioned it was not one of his easier fights.

 

Exactly. But let PBF tell it, it was easy. Oscar didnt make him even try his hardest.
