Kermit Cintron needs to do something about that one sided beating he received at the hands of Tonio Margarito.

I think he was more overwhelmed by the situation than Margarito, and in a second fight, he would put on a better showing.

An interesting thing would be if he were to beat Williams, then lose again to Margo. Then we'd have an Ali-Frazier-Foreman triangle.

Yes Cintron NEEDS to redeem himself. He has to give Tony a rematch and win, otherwise his career is ****ed. He is going to have doubts no matter who he fights if he doesnt beet Tony. and we as fans are going to doubt his championship material as well. After Matheste he talked about how 'that was not me', but nowhere did I see him call Margarito out and thats some ***** **** all the way. by the way, he loses to Paul Williams in the same fashion as Margarito. By knockout. He does not have the mental fortitude to beat Paul, and that is simply because he had a golden opportunity to rematch margarito and he avoided it. he had the belt, tony lost, and tony would have fought him for that 'fake' IBF belt in a heartbeat to get back in the scene. It appears cintron is still doubting himself.

If he KO's Williams......he doesn't ever have to acknowledge the name "Margarito" again.

if he beats Williams, he will definitely fight Margo. Cintron says himself that he needs to fight him again.

That is one way to look at it. Conquer your conquerer's conquerer.

he does. A true champion does not let **** like that go. A true champ has the confidence and sportsmanship to go back to the fire and roast in it. Fans love that redemption **** and then there will be no questions. IF he beats Paul however, which is not gonna happen.

Kermit Cintron is nothing special, just a fringe contender that was lucky and got a title shot against an easy opponent. He must prove himself against Paul Williams.

Paul Williams will put him back in his reality. Cintron is a fringe contender with a belt and will be a fringe contender without a belt in a few months.

I disagree entirely Dawg. The more he wins, the more his lone loss will be talked about, especially as long as Margarito continues winning.

With this logic Calzaghe should fight Pavlik. Not sure I agree with it. I like Joe and no point getting seriously injured or ruining his career with someone as dangerous as Pavlik.

Margarito needs to show something though. Maybe for him personally it is something he needs to do. For me, Margarito is in limbo right now. After a win over Williams, Margarito might actually be a backwards step for him. What if margarito suffers another loss?

But you are right, if Margarito continues to win and gets back near the top he will need to fight him :good

First off, I see you spout this every time cintron comes up... he has called out margarito in every interview since the matthysse fight!! the only reason he didnt do it that night is because he fought prior to the pwil and marg fight, and cintron's team thought marg would beat Pwil and fight Cotto, like what was supposed to happen. that is why he called out shane mosely after he beat matthysse. as soon as marg lost the fight, cintron started calling him out immediately. dude, check your facts.

Kerm will KO both Pwil and Marg by the fall of '08.

are you taking this opinion from one fight, the marg fight? cuz i think he handled pressure from Teddy Reid, David Estrada, and Mark Suarez just fine. Matthysse had the idea to pressure cintron, and we saw how that ended. Cintron wasnt ready for the marg fight when he had it. he is ready now.
