Any fighters out there who you like to watch (for their speed, their power, their ring intelligence etc), but who you don't particularly like as people (through their interviews or maybe things you have read in articles).

Vice-versa, are their any boxers who you cant stand to watch fight (because their boring, you feel they are overrated by the TV guys etc.) but who you really like as people (good personality, man-of-the-people etc)

Is their a conflict within you when you watch them fight? Do you wanna see them get beat? or do you wan't to see them do well despite your reservations?

    Opinions anyone?

Yes, Mayweather was the main one I was thinking of when I came up with the thread. Hatton fits into the other category for me; hate to watch him fight, but he is a laugh outside the ropes (I for one don't think its an act).

Hows tricks by the way J-Dog?

You been on holiday or something?

Haven't seen you on the boards in a while.

I think Hatton has got less good to watch as he has climbed the ladder (Tszyu apart - Castillo maybe), though this has as much to do with his opposition levels as it does with him.

That said, you rarely see a boring Ricky Hatton fight, he always turns up to have a go and look for the KO win, which entertains the crowd.

    Top man though.

Mayweather - adore the boxer, hate the guy. Hatton - like the guy, bores me to sleep as a boxer.

I can relate though PBF was one of my favorites at one time earlier in his career somewhere around his thrashing of the late Chico (RIP). I've grown this ****** of disdain on my back due to PBF and his recent antics. Still got love for the dude though. Hatton is another case, I seriously can't stand his style but he's a hardworker and seems like an extremely personable guy.

    Many fighters.

I enjoy watching Ray Robinson fights, and I was a big Diego Corrales fan, but it made me sick to think of what they did to their wives.

Mike Tyson. A joy to watch in the ring, mainly in his younger years, but as a person outside the ring? No doubt he's done some really bad things.

I love watching Floyd Mayweather's skills in the ring. Outside the ring, he's rather annoying.

Jermaine Taylor seems like a likeable guy. I think he's sloppy in the ring, but what makes me like him is his attitude towards fighting tough opposition.

mayweahther for me as well. he's obviously a bit of a dick, but a fantastic boxer , you can't take that away from him no matter what you think he's like as a person ( probably not as bad as he makes out ) .

the second part though, how can hatton bore you ? there are so many more boring fighters out there.
