To save typing the same points again, here is what I posted in another thread:

This is, from many points of view, a great finishing fight for Bernard.

He says Roy is shot, so that means he is pretty confident of beating him.

While he has lost four significant fights (we won't count his first outing at pro), he CLAIMS to have only ever lost one of those fights, to Roy.

Here is a chance to avenge what is, in BHop's miind, his only real loss.

He ducked a rematch for years. When I say ducked, I'm not saying he was scared. Just greedy.

Roy was the bigger name for all of that time and had already beaten him. Bernard wasn't a big name till 2002. It was Bernard who 'needed' the rematch, so Roy was entitled to the bigger purse share.

(Bernard wasn't the best businessman out there, befor he linked up with GBP !)

Now, he has the opportunity to pick up 60% of the purse ( a real PRIZE fight that we should see more of).

And he turns it down ?

If he's to have any credibility in the Roy-Bernard issue, he needs to take this fight.

Folks have been hoping for it for years, and this is the first time Bernard would be the favourite to win. (Slight favourite, IMO).

Bernard can go out in style, with the lion's share of a decent purse, and avenge what he says is his only real loss.

IF he gives it a pass, it will be obvious to all who ducked who here.

The ball is in Bernard's court.

    Er, how about yes?

It's always strange to me to see how boxers can be so confident of winning and imply everything under the sun that their possible opponent is ****, and yet can't back it up by their choice of purse splits.

I understand the money aspect and you wanna get paid, but if Bhop is so concerned about his legacy, then surely here's the perfect opportunity to get back at the one guy who's been a thorn in his side from the time he lost to him, and seal greatness maybe, but more importantly, personal satisfaction before he retires.

****, if I had the money that Bhop already has, I'd ****ing pay Roy for the opportunity to fight me.

Bhop = procrastinating, scared he'll be beat again biatch. As someone else wrote: smoke and mirrors.

It wouldn't surprise me that Hopkins will never fight again, less his current high flying reputation is sullied before he retires and he can't run his mouth off again. Then again, even if he did get KTFO, I'm sure he'd still say he didn't lose the fight.:patsch

you listen to someone, it gives you an idea how INTELLIGENCE they are...

Tell you what, you read this sentence to yourself 10 times ok, and I'll read it once... Now if you don't find any mistakes in this sentence, then you are intelligenCE.

Those days of boxers talking about 'winner take all' is nonsense nowadays. That only sounds tough. That is why B-Hop probably hung up. Jones should now take the 40%, and I'm a man who said Jones should take 60% lol...
