Correct. The Chilemba fight was when there were serious rumblings starting. We were expecting him to destroy Chilemba and instead he struggled. I remember thinking "just a bad night" but it really was the start of the slide.

Pretty much everyone on here says that Kovalev is "post prime", I don't know about shot but it's almost universally understood. That being said, I personally think Kovalev is gonna destroy Canelo. (I think I'm in the minority here).

If Canelo beats Kovalev it will be the equivelant if not better than when Pacquiao beat Barrera, Morales, and Cotto. His best wins.

I would love to see Kov put in one last super-human training camp and then come in and lay waste to Canelo....then retire before he is full-blown shot.

 

Many folks calling him shot now are the same ones who insisted he is not shot based on the Alvarez rematch.
