I naturally assumed since you liked the post of a guy who was arguing with me that Kovalev was shot.

So the people who liked your post failed to realise that your example Degale was totally shot whilst regaining his title and avenging a loss which is what Isal in his infinite wisdom claimed couldn't be done.

 

Lol I was aware of this while writing it,blanket statements in boxing are kinda pointless.
De Gale was looking like he'd been in too many wars for a while albeit he'd not been knocked out.

Canelo cant win in the eyes of his haters.
The truth is that Canelo fighting any of the 4 mentioned champs is a big risk. Kov is just the biggest name and the MOST experienced fighter at 175 who just defeated TWO VERY GOOD UNDEFEATED fighters at the weight.

Obviously at one point Kov was the best at 175 and was damn near number 1 P4P fighter in the world. Yes he has declined, but he has only declined from the top of the P4P list to being one of the best 1-2-3 fighters at LHW, a division canelo has never fought at before. No tune up, no testing the waters. Going in against the man with one of the best and hardest jabs in the game, the same jab that damn near had Ward out on his feet in the first fight!

Yes, I have heard people sayinghe was a shot fighter and couldn't take a good punch since the Alvarez fight and the loss.

Actually they were after the Alvarez defeat.. the guy is old in boxing years & was seconds away from his 3rd stoppage loss recently.. he's not shot but he's getting there & it's pretty obvious how much heavier he is on his feet these days.. multiple losses*, trainers changes. .it all adds up.. & lets see Alvarez at 36/7 years old on a 10 week turnaround ..

Kovalev may be a bit past prime but he's still the man @ 175. People are making a mistake in writing him off after the grueling match vs Yarde but Yarde is a young hungry lion and massive for 175.

 

They said it before the first fight actually. It was auto deluded fanboy defense mechanism just incase he ends up stiffing up like a tree and losing, which he eventually did.

 

Credit for cheating? Paying off judges and refs is not credit worthy.
