IF you know Johnson and have followed his career you know he is solid, and will give Bute a run for his money.

Froch is and always was an ordinary boxer. He will always be outboxed by more skillful fighters like Taylor in his better days, Dirrell, Ward, Kessler at his best and Bute.

You were right about the rest though.

In Froch's case, I can't recall the last boxer like him, that did as much accomplishment wise, with as limited of a skill set as he has...

I have much respect for what Froch's accomplished up to now with what he has. He has done much more than expected of him...

Anyhow, he has had luck on his side throughout, since Taylor had him soundly beat before that last round, and Dirrell outboxed him for the majority of the 12 rounds, not to mention that he made Johnson look like an elite fighter at times...

    if this isn't a good fight for you it means then you consider also the Super Six a joke: Abraham taylor made for Ward, Johnson for Froch; Johnson is a semi-finalist after KO-ing 'Allan The Great' Green ;

also a can't understand what you mean by 'fair play'; i for one consider not fair play something like Mares-Agbeko

I have no problem with the fight. As a Bute fan, I would've preferred Kessler or Dirrell but Johnson is better than Pavlik IMHO. Now, if Bute gets rid of Johnson easily (ie wide UD or even KO), for me, it will only mean a step in the right direction. No more, no less.

You have got to be ****ing kidding.

This is a really good fight. If Glen has anything left in the tank after 6 or 7 Rounds, it will be a long and difficult night for Bute.

I see Bute with a win, and being very glad to get out of there with it..

It's not a joke, its best opponent he could fight right now, except for Kessler obviously. Glen is very tough and should keep it somewhat close.

After Bute dominates Johnson he'll be madly overrated.

I disagree that they "Ran Scared". Kessler took the right rout in going and getting a Title. In no way will he lose to Glitz. it wouldnt be smart to Fight Bute his 2nd Fight back.

Pavlik isn't Mentally there. Thats why he isnt fighting Bute.

    Kess and Pavlik were smart.

Froch had to due to the S6
Coming off a loss, loser of his last 6 world title fights with a terrible SMW resume
Yes, I rate Bute and think hes beyond fighting a glorified journeyman with a name in Johnson

I expect so. Sadly so many just look at a name rather than what the fighter has done recently.
At SMW B Magee was a better fight than Johnson

If Bute prepares like he's going to be in a "joke" fight, Glen will take his title. Bute won't do this, however, because he's actually sparred with Glen and knows a ****load of a lot better than you do how serious a test Glen really is.

It won't be a walk in the park for Bute and its a great measuring stick. Bute is very good but he hasn't exactly been tested against a whos who of opposition in the division so we get to see where he is at, who can complain about that.

Johnson gave Cloud hell and hit Froch with plenty of bombs, Bute certainly won't want to be wearing as many as Froch had to or he could find himself in trouble. It is the perfect fight to bridge into a fight with one of the genuine elite of the division.

Its a better fight than Pavlik in terms of actually seeing where Bute is at.

on the contrary, if Bute severely dominates most people will say Johnson was shot; i see alot on this thread already foreseeing that

Pavlik wasn't smart at all in the first place accepting to fight Bute now; he finally saw some tapes of Bute before he pulled out all of a sudden

    No one said it wasn't.

The difference is, those guys also fought young top contenders and champions. Bute only fights bums and now an old man will be his most difficult opponent to date.

Johnson is one of Cloud's 2 best wins. Woods was 37 at the time he fought him and retired after the fight. Which young top contenders did Cloud face? :nut
