hatton turned down mayweather because he wanted to get some more exposure in america first, so that he can earn more $ from what will be his biggest fight. he didn't shine against urango and collazo, but did last night. now he'd take the fight with mayweather, anytime, anywhere if the money was right. he's said he wants him, it's now down to mayweather. the mayweather comment last night is just trying to wind him up, and start getting a fight talked about.

Hatton was calling Floyd out before he then turned him down, I remember him being commentator for Floyd vs Gatti saying he'd love to fight Floyd etc...

So why should this be any different?

because hatton has given the performance that he needed on american soil to get his name more well known. if fmayweather calls him out again and the terms are sensible the fight would definatly happen.

that's great. it's just too bad he wouldn't fight him when he gets the chance.

fighting mayweather at 147 is hardly on hattons terms. mayweather has only had one fight at 154. a fight at 147 would suit mayweather better than hatton, hatton would obviously prefer 140, but there's no way he could fight at 154.

Hatton didn't want any parts of PBF when the fight was available. Now Hatton is ready to "CASH OUT" and MIGHT be willing to get his loss for a huge retirement payment.

This is pretty hilarious that a guy like Hatton continuely knocks Mayweather and his style but for over 2yrs now has avoided him. Ppl on here keeping trying that bull**** about more exposure but he hasn't done **** to make himself more natable since the Zoo fight. That fight is what got him his exposure, and it would have been the biggest fight of 2005! This fight barely helped! The fight wasn't exciting at all:nono I believe Hatton is somewhat delusional about his style, and his fights!

Why does he mention Mayweather so much but seems to have no intentions of fighting him? He almost seems obsessed w/him, yet scared to fight him. He mentioned fighting some guys at 147lbs, but no mention of Mayweather....why not? You guys sit on here and cry, moan, and ***** about Mayweather when he speaks about opponents yet Hatton does it and he's funny, and comical! Hatton's mouth is much bigger than is heart!

He's is pretty funny especially since he has alot to say except I want Mayweather,...now that would be something to listen to!!

Makes me laugh how all of the PBF fans hammer on about how great PBF is by "fighting out of his weight class", but then in the next sentence say "Oh,, Floyd is a 154 fighter now, no way he makes 140".

Which is it? Is he a full blown 154 or not? If so, STFU about jumping weight classses. If not, then surely he can make 140 again?

One major thing you're leaving out here Biggame......
......Hatton has never annointed himself as the best fighter p4p on the planet. In fact, he's always said he has things in his arsenal as a fighter to work on.
.....for the first time last night, you saw Hatton point out that he's ready, willing and able to test his mettle vs anybody in the world.

Hatton for the first time ever is talking like a p4p champion, and I'm willing to bet that unlike Mayweather, he's willing to back up his talk.

As of now, Mayweather is'nt interested in fighting any of the existing p4p'ers. Mayweather has declared himself retired, unless hasbeens or fighters on their way out like DLH who can still draw a good payday are willing to fight him, I dont see Mayweather eager to fight any of todays legit p4p'ers who like himself are in the prime of their abilities.

Who cares that Hatton is the 140 champ. I thought only unification mattered to you?

PBF is the 147 champ....yay, whoopie!

WTF does that have to do with anything. Stop with your revisionist history. PBF gave Hatton 2 offers at 140, both admittedly turned down. So don't go crawling on your knees bitching that PBF didn't want Hatton.

Exactly! This buliding up his name is bull****. If Hatton fought PBF after he defeated Zoo it would have been the biggest fight in boxing back then.:deal

Exactly....Hatton is trying to play the waiting game until Floyd is past it, just like Hattons other big wins.

Christ I thought Hatton was excellent last night but lets not go overboard....a way past his best Castillo is not the same animal as Mayweather. People always say Hatton is so ****ing humble but he deserves a thorough ass-whooping for that ridiculous attack on Mayweather.

Let's see Ricky fight De La Hoya and come back and talk about 'action' eh? Perhaps not though, Oscar isn't old enough yet for Ricky :deal
