You take control of Mike's career post Douglas how do you build him back up?

The one difference I would have liked was for him to have replaced Tillman or Stewart with a Douglas rematch. Just to set the record straight.

Sad thing is he could have likely got his title back then and there. It would have probably been like AJ vs Ruiz 2.

Douglas was never going to have a better fight in his life than the one he had at Tokyo.

Mikey was too much of a loose cannon who perhaps couldn’t be helped any which way.

Even when Cus was still alive Mike was beginning to drift away from his influence.

You could try to exert extreme control 24/7 in the hope of achieving the desired results but being aware that you need to do same should tell you that there are existing issues and that the path to success would still remain precariously balanced.

Tyson had all the due care and support any fighter could hope for in order to secure the best chance of not going off the rails - but he still did.

Up to the Douglas fight, Tyson had the fear of losing to drive him and a hitherto perfect record to fiercely protect. Those defining motivations were somewhat dampened post Tokyo.

Make him have more tunes up and force him to work on his skills instead of chasing quick knocks out. Bring back Kevin Rooney if possible.

You can't get him off coke, away from the party scene, and Don King, so there is no helping him.
