Yup, Arum hates DLH and Mayweather with a passion, the fight will fall throough b/c of Arum and then Arum will claim Mayweather is scared and the trolls and sheep will fall for it hook, line, and sinker like they always do.

it can happen easily, since in mayweathers mind it'll be an easy fight plus he'll make a lot of money and raise his stock as one of the best. In cottos mind he'll have a chance to establish himself as one of the best and also be the one to take the undefeated and top dog around right now. I hope it does happens i think cotto has a good chance here, since mayweather is a boxer with not much pop on his punches. Also mayweather fights in spurs and will give cotto room in the ring to do his thing.

I don't think so because Cotto made it a point to say it was a matter of
    principle.

I would like to see him against Margarita!!!

Great fight. I don't see Cotto winning, but I would buy it in a heartbeat.

The fight that I would want to see is Cotto/Berto!

I think Mayweather hits harder than you may be giving him credit for.

And he would catch Cotto, in my opinion, all too often with unseen shots. He would abuse Cotto in the clench, and would time in coming in even worse than Pac did. Cotto does have a really good jab, and a decent body attack, if he gets back to it.

I dont think this fight happens , for me in the early stages of Cotto's WW career he looked far too dangerous for Floyd and clearly Floyd ducked him , now i beleive Cotto , if he has any sense should refuse this fight , it would be a huge payday and the fact is he wouldnt refuse it , but it would also be a slow painfull beating what ever the weight may be .

Im suprised actually how many people are comfortable with Cotto as a JrMW , for me he is a WW and looked his best physically against Pacquiao , for me thats where he should stay :deal he has no business fighting at 154 unless he wants to give away a strength and size dis advantage in all of his fights there !!!!

No way should Mayweather even think about fighting Cotto until he fights Pacquiao. We want to see him fight Pacquiao, not some guy Pacquiao kicked the **** out of.

I'm a big fan of Cotto, but Mayweather style does not suite well with him. He'll will get picked apart probably worst then Mosley did.

True, but the same reason that we have for Pac fighting Mayweather is the same leverage that Pac uses to keep doing this weirdness in negotiations. His popularity is the gift and the curse of getting a fight done.

Cotto is definitely a Plan B, but given Cotto's career trajectory it seems to be a fight that would be made QUICKLY. That means both fighters can focus on fighting not shade tree press politricks.

This is a more viable fight which very well may take place.

I would rather see this fight than a Manny rematch.

I doubt it, depends what Arum has planned for the other Top Rank fighters.
