Dan Rafael: Evangelista was not there and from what I am told the Cotto camp did not have a boxing person in there watching his hands get wrapped, only the lawyer I believe. Even so, if his hands were loaded for the Cotto fight the Nevada inspector missed it like the California inspector.

Probably the dumbest **** said on this forum EVER. Here's an idea, why not make it legal for Margarito to bring guns in the ring too, because God damnit, his fans want to cheer for their man and who gives a fat **** if someone has to die in the ring to accomplish that goal?

This "Cotto should fight Margarito in MEXICO!!!" bull**** is ****ing asinine. Margarito was banned in the US for CHEATING, and the very same day, the mayor of Tijuana sends out a press release warmly welcoming the proven cheater to fight in his hometown because he had represented the patrons of Tijuana with PRIDE for many years. Yes, cheating is a tremendous accomplishment worthy of pride. Why would any fighter fight Margarito in Tijuana, his hometown and the place that REWARDS him for cheating? If they don't think he should be punished for loading his wraps gloves with plaster, he'll probably be allowed to dip gloves in broken glass like ****ing Tong Po against Van Damme. Any fighter with more than a hundred dollars would have to be ******ed to fight a disgraced, shamed cheater like Margarito in his hometown.



People need to stop forming their opinions on a fighter and the world based on ethnicity and hometown fanaticism. I GUARENTEE you, all these Mexican fight fans backing Tony right now, making this **** out to be a lesser deal than it is, and trying to twist some BS about Cotto or anyone of merit going to Mexico to fight him, would be up in arms about this **** if it had been Cotto caught loading his wraps against Margarito. Most of Hatton's fanatics swear up and down that he was screwed by the ref against Floyd, but will eternally deny that he was ironically helped by the ref in the Lazcano fight. Be proud of where you're from, but it is possible to not act like a ****** while doing so.
